Needless to say although I love motorcycles and think they're really cool I have absolutely no desire to get out on the road with 3 ton vehicles and more especially now with people so distracted by their electronic devices.
Agree with you. What is a normal fender bender between two cars could be death if it's car vs motorcycle. Wanted to be a paramedic in my younger days then talked to one and he mentioned a few motorcycle accidents they drove up on. After that i said no thanks.

What happened to that woman?

When we were stationed in Hawaii we used to spend the weekends at a beach on the North Shore across from Dillingham Airfield. It's a busy spot for skydiving and it's cool to lay on the beach and watch them jumping all day. Short story short, we watched a guy come down way faster than we were used to seeing them come in, so we noticed right away, and, sure enough, no parachute deployed, and he smacked right into the tarmac. Didn't bounce or anything. Just nailed the ground.
Haven't thought about that in years, so, thanks, I guess

Lots of tragic stories. I will go a different direction. Was on the 405 Fwy in Los Angeles in June of 94 when several police cars came up behind me and made me pull over and stop my car. About 15 seconds later OJ Simpson and his buddy drive right by me in a white Ford Bronco...followed by about 20 more police vehicles. It was wild.

Back at LaTech I saw a guy bounce out of a dumpster after he jumped off the roof of Neilson dorm. GF and I had just returned early from partying. She saw him before he hit and was like "What The Hell???" then I saw him on the bounce and heard it loud and clear through rolled up windows and radio on
Was in a TV room when an RA came by and said to not look out the window
Guy was in my QA class at the time. Sad

Walked in on my boss watching porn with his daughter's office right next room to his. He had speakers in his office. He was like over 60 and not the best with technology, so he scrambled to turn it off. It took him like 5 seconds. I acted like I didn't notice.
1 hour later I go back in to discuss something else, and he has it on AGAIN. I acted again like I didn't hear it.
Thing is people are in and out of his office all the time with his daughter literally next door. I noticed that he wasn't in there anymore after lunch so I wonder if he got caught

I was on a cruise and watched two drunk bros jumping back and forth to the life boats. They we’re banned from alcohol on the ship. There were 4 days remaining.

A donkey show in a border town south of McAllen, TX. I felt compelled to throw money into the gravel. I could feel the devil smiling at all involved and my sick azz would watch again?

2 stories
I was in a car with our distributor in Lagos Nigeria. Heavy traffic and people will drive in oncoming lanes, etc… basically a free for all. Lots of locals are walking or standing in traffic selling all kinds of stuff. Some of them are young kids. Heavy traffic and we came to a crawl. Police truck with 3 in cab and 5 or 6 on benches in back came up from behind us driving on median doing about 40 but started to slow down because traffic ahead on median also. A young kid about 8 selling shite stepped out in front of police truck and got hit. He hopped back up and one of his legs was clearly broken.. it was swinging side to side. Police truck made an upturn and went the other way and all of them were looking at that kid they hit.
Life is cheap in Nigeria.
I was in Equatorial Guinea and often like to see what they are selling at local outdoor markets. Was looking at stuff and noticed a guy had a bunch of small monkeys laying in a table. Went over to see and a monkey blinked his eyes. I looked at the guy I was with and he said they catch them and snap their neck so they can’t run away. They didn’t have refrigeration so they do that sometimes.
It was pretty sick.

Was that around '85? If it's who you are referring to, he was from Alexandria. Last name Giamanco. He's roommate became mine.

Some friends of mine took me too a sleezy strip joint in Savannah for my 21st birthday. The strippers got me on stage and handcuffed me to a chair. In the middle of their dance one fell off the stage and got up yelling “that bitch pushed me!” She got back up and a stripper fight broke out all around me. I couldn’t get up so I had to try and jump scoot my chair out of the action before I was kicked in the face.
After the bouncers broke it up I was uncuffed and was able to get out of there. We still laugh about that shite today.

Not really as impressive as most stories, but
Around ’03-‘04 I was on airline hwy driving westbound and stopped at a red light. I was first in line at the light. A Chevy blazer has a green light and is crossing airline when an eastbound car runs a red and t bones the blazer. The blazer rolls over twice and lands on its wheels. It looked like slow motion. Everyone in the accident appeared to be up and walking.

I saw a five year old get hit by a car and die. It was about 20 years ago and still makes me sick when I think about it.

Two things.
1992. summer. My buddy just spent 48 hours putting all new suspension on his 65 Mustang, and he let me drive it as we went to that Daiquiri place that used to be on Nicholson not far from Campus. The manager sold weed out of there for a few years. Can't remember his name. Cool fella. In the back seat of the Mustang was an older friend in his thirties, and his big fat girlfriend.
At the intersection of E Boyd and Burbank, some dude on a CB900 Honda ran the red light and t boned the Mustang right by the drivers seat I was sitting in. He laid the bike down, the bike hit the car, the car rose up, he slid under the car, the car settled back down on top of him with the exhaust pipe resting on his head. When I opened the door, he was face up, but his body from the waist up was under the car. I had to step out and over him. We opened the trunk, threw all the tools and other assorted bs out, and all four of us, including the big fat girlfriend, lifted the back end of the Mustang up and walked it off the fella. As soon as we did, a huge puddle of blood started pooling around his head.
Then he regained conciousness. His face had severe burns from the exhaust, his cheek was broken, teeth knocked out, flailing around in shock and pain.
Saw it all happen in what seemed like slo mo when I saw him coming at me through the intersection. Luckily, there were multiple other cars stopped for the light that saw the whole thing.
I'm standing there going, 'Man, he's fricked up'. And there's this pretty lady in a dress next to me that goes, "Yep, he sure is!"
"I told him he was going to get killed riding that thing"
Turns out it was his girlfriend, who had been following along behind him in her car.
Dude was Larry Henderson. Owned the Piggly Wiggly further down Burbank. He lived, somehow. We all went and saw him a couple days later at the hospital. He was sitting up in bed with a smile on his face, eating Popeyes chicken.
Second time
1990. Mardi Gras. Bourbon Street. Mid afternoon. Gang fight in the middle of Bourbon at St. Peter, right by Pat O's. Gets to be one on one, and one shoots the other, right there in the middle of Bourbon, about five feet from me.

So what happened? Did he die?
Neilson dorm is 11 stories. Dude had a countdown calendar in his room in another dorm (timed for the peak day of his parents Euro vacay). Could see where his feet slid in the gravel on the roof where he took off at a running start.

I saw something similar with a motorcycle except the dude didn't die. He was about 100 yards in front of me and a Altima pulled out in front of him. He got launched in to a pasture. We stopped and ran over to check him figuring he was dead or hurt bad. He sat up and said "woah, dude, mannnnn" in a hippy kind of stoner accent. He had the wind knocked out of him but was otherwise OK.
