December 1982. Quilted flannel shirt I got for Christmas. Still wear it to this day. Faded a little but not frazzled or torn.

Still have a few from law school circa 2000. Still fit but are pretty much worn out. Also have a yellow shirt with USA flag that I bought right after 9/11. Still wear it on the farm.

Also have my grandfather’s tie collection. That goes back into at least the 1970s, if not earlier. Most reflect the era’s aesthetics, but there’s a couple Johnny Carson labeled ties that’re pretty spiffy.

In April 1983 I caught my first 14 lb bass. I still have the flannel shirt I was wearing that day hanging in my closet.

I just cleaned out my closet and got rid of 12 year old pants because they are too big!

And I haven’t worn them in 5 years

As for shirts - my husband has a middle school band shirt in there, so like 35 years old, a little more

An old gym shirt I inherited from my dad. He wore it when he was in college back in the early 60s.
