Attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan.
The news was showing the footage of the shooting over and over again. Too young to understand who the President was, I can remember asking my mother "why do they keep shooting that man?'

I vaguely remember Nixon & Watergate and not long after the fall of Saigon. I remember thinking it meant the Russians were now going to invade us.

I very vaguely remember my dad and mom listening to the news concerning the Cuban Missile Crisis. Don't remember anything else but them commenting that the crisis had been averted. I was quite young.
