Don’t be sorry! Her speech was inspiring and moving

Powerful.

Would you or could you turn your kid in?

Let’s face it, life as you know it would already be over. If you didn’t turn him in, you’d have to keep your head on a swivel and probably never sleep again. And it’s not like you’re going to be enjoying family gatherings with him anymore anyway. He took it all away. You’d have to turn him in, as crushing as that is.

I’m a friend of her daughter, DTL did it

What daughter? She only had a son.

So if the dog attacks he should just let it happen?

At some point, common sense should prevail. Dog secured in his own backyard? Hmmm…it might not take kindly to stranger in his space. Knock and get permission. Or retreat. Problem solved.

Don't know but they love parking in the left lane

Texas drivers rival N’awlins drivers for speed and crappy driving.

So if they say “have a nice day” but not “thank you”, is that still objectional?

That sure beats a blank stare or a “mm-hmm”. It’s courteous. It’s equally hard to get a “have a nice day”, though.

Needing a low paid retail clerk to thank you for your purchase is a bit sad.

It’s just civility. Too much to ask?
It also marks the conclusion of the transaction and that I’m now free to leave.

Thank you.

I think cannot has always been around, but people do just make things up as they go. Somehow “a part” became “apart” in some social media circles.

I remember the Spaghetti House. It was on the corner of State and Highland where the Circle K is now.

Wasn’t it the Spaghetti Store?

I think those retailers would be better served by a wider 6 or 8 lane street with a wide, landscaped median than a 4 lane highway with service/feeder roads. There is 200' of right of way in most of those sections east of Airline. They could move the travel lanes to the far edges of it and make a lot of those businesses more visible

Then we could call it Siegen Lane.

It might be worse when a driver misses his turn and comes to a dead stop in a travel lane with his blinker on. Those people should just be eliminated.

For the love of God, WHO is letting these people in???????
Now do the entitled sh*ts who pass on the shoulder, or drive those ridiculous oversized pickups to the front of traffic, then cut in just so they can be first. Those baws are a special kind of handicap.

Every SINGLE graphic in the studies you folks love to cite for the efficiency boost shows the zipper seamlessly integrating in preexisting spacing between cars. If the car doesn’t leave the space, or has to stop additionally to make it, then the advantage is lost.

This. Every time someone in the dominant lane has to hit their brake, it creates a slinky effect for everyone behind him. This is why there are backups. So many pro-zipper mergers are clueless how to do it right.

Why not just do this between every exit on the interstate?

Well ummm, because every exit on the interstate doesn’t have a disproportionate amount of pileups with limited ways for emergency services to access the accident.
That’s just for starters.
Are you serious with this?
If I have to hit my brakes to let some 11th-hour jackleg in front of me, then they’re doing it all wrong. If you just merge in somewhere along the way without causing chaos, then do it! You really don’t have to be first. You’re not in 3rd grade.
Bet it’s a lot of the same genius baws who drive 95 up your butt. I don’t want to be a part of that Mensa club.

people here and everywhere will still opt for the cheapest Chinese shite.

That’s weird. Wonder why?

god forbid you actually hold a job whose crux is serving people when they are the most vulnerable.

Well said.

Who told you that?
