The amount of cognitive dissonance required for someone to call out another city for chain restaurants and lack of creative going-out options when they're from Baton Rouge is extremely impressive.

Yes. Lafayette was a big disappointment for me. I spent a night there for work each week. Absolutely nothing to do on a Tuesday.

The other day I heard someone say "La-fête".

The rest of the world says "La-fay-ette".

What says the OT?

Sounds like the problem isn't Lafayette but your friend's shitty taste in food.

Olive Garden should be the last place you pick to go to when looking for food out here.

Chain fast-food joints galore and nothing to really do after dark.

Get off the Throughway and maybe you'd find something other than fast food.

If your friend is bringing you to Olive Garden in Lafayette, you need a better friend.
There are a lot of chains, but a lot of locally owned places, too.
Lots of place that have live music at night. What were you looking to do?

Food looked good.

Having to suffer through the corny KLFY guy (Gerald Gruenig) was a beating.

The blonde looks cute, though.
