I just went though this afternoon. I have Florida plates but this is the process.

If heading down I-10. Once you get top the first truck weight station there will be cones completely blocking I-10. You will veer off into the station. There are three lanes designated with cones. Trucks and most vehicles with Florida plates are waved on through in the left lane. Any out of state plates will be sent in the remaining two lanes. There were a few vehicles with FL plates pulled over so I'm not sure what that was about. I spoke with my neighbor this afternoon, she has LA plates. They stopped her, asked where they were going. They had to fill out a form designating their names and address heading to. They were told to quarantine for 14 days but were told no one would be coming to check on them.

That's what they want her to think.

Hang a right at Buc-ee's... drive down Baldwin Beach Express... turn left on 98... stop in Perdido for some wings and a beer at Hub Stacey's... take 98 to Pensacola... pop up on I10 and boogie east

What a waste of resources and time. Not to mention you are just forcing more people to come into contact with people you suspect of being infected.

They have as many cases as we do, that would be idiotic.

Y'all have more cases, and less than 25% of our population. You had 2700 new cases today, we had 1200. Our states are not equal here.

Update:

I made it. I’m in the Sunshine state. Skirted the I-10 checkpoint by taking the Wilcox Rd exit and crossing the unguarded border that way. I feel like a moonshine runner or something. Thanks to the 1,000s of you who were concerned about my well being

Epic

Yeah they're not going to pull over a person with a Louisiana license plate once you're past the checkpoint because they assume you were stopped at the checkpoint. Eastbound and down, my brother.

Update #2

Heading back from Fla and I just passed the I-10 checkpoint whilst traveling over in the unrestricted west bound lane. Looks like a shite show over there. 50+ cop cars, fire truck, ambulances, tents, mobil command centers and enough porta shitters to facilitate a diarrhea epidemic. Why does everybody think this thing will give them the shits? Anyway, looked like something I never thought I’d see in America. Strange days indeed. The Wilcox road exit is your friend if your a I-10 east bound traveler. Unless you’re a trucker. You baws can sail on thru.

What did you need to do in Florida that only took 5 hours?

Im guessing this will be in effect for the remainder of the year?

The Disney Company will not like this. One would think they'd have some political "pull" but maybe not this time.
