I was charged with assault with a deadly weapon bc I beat a guy half to death with a slapjack. Charges were dropped later when they found out it was his slapjack.

Pulled over for going 80 on I-12 in Livingston parish with speed limit of 75. I was the slow car on highway but got pulled over and given ticket for having FL license plate. Cop gave me attitude for not respecting the rules of the country. Called me a city yuppie because my residence was Tallahassee. shite you not.

I felt I was transported back to the 50s or something talking to that cop.

It’s sad that we get threads like this when we need our first responder heroes the most

I had one on BR in college. Had a Fraternity brother who had a reputation for starting.....and winning fights and we went into what was then Ernie's . I had been out in the back and when I came in there was a ruckus and there was some dude jumping on top of my friend. So I went to get him off my friend and the guy says "If you know what's good for you, you'll take your hands off me.....I'm an a cop." So I naturally said as a drunk college student , frick you, show a badge or I'm kicking your arse.

He got up, shrugged off then 3 minutes later, the cops came in and arrested me. I said how was I to know, your guy never id'd himself. Uniform says , if he tells you he's police, he does not need to show you ID. I said " well in that case I'm a lawyer and you are violating my rights" Wrong move.

Needed some family help from my uncle who was a Captain in NOPD to get me out of that one and smooth it over with the Baton Rouge cops.

Honestly sounds like you were just trouble considering how many times they kept coming back to you. I grew up there as well and the man you are referring to did not “slap teenagers around.” I’ve seen him do some great things for people while he was a cop.

Was banging my HS GF in a car in the parking lot at muni park after dark. John Law rolls up…

Without asking about the situation cuffs me and puts me in the back seat. Her parents had to call the police to get that understood…awkward as F moving forward

When I was a senior in high school, cops broke up the Halloween party I was it. As everyone was leaving I got pulled to the side and cuffed. The cop said I was "mouthy". I didn't get beat, but he slammed me onto the table to cuff me.

My parent's picked me up, no trouble beyond that.

Wasn't a terrible interaction, wasn't great either ha.

Recently I got pulled over with two kids in the truck (were sleeping) because I just pulled out at gas station that the alarm went off. (Was tripped by employees)

Cop car cut me off in the middle of the LA1.

Was fckking dramatic. Total fckking douche.

I’ve never had a bad interaction myself, but the Orange Beach police were total assholes to my 18 year old son and his friend this summer.
They drinking a beer in the game room at a resort and some old bitch that worked for the place saw them on security camera and called the police.
Yeah I get it, they broke the law. Normally they would be told to pour beer out and be issued a warning or a MIP citation. These baffoons brought them into the police station and processed them.
They had them do a breath test and both were at a .01. The other kids parents were with them and had to actually talk the police out of parading them out the condo with handcuffs on.

WORST:

I was pulled over on a felony stop years ago as my car matched the description of one that had been stolen.

That was scary as frick and hope to never do that again.

They apologized and sent me on my way.

Was drinking with friends at Walk-ons on Nicholson the Friday before a game a few years after I had graduated. They were all paying out so I stepped outside to get out of the crowd. Sat down on the curb in front and was playing on my phone or whatever.

Cop comes up all pissed off like we had previously encountered each other (we didn't) and told me to get the frick out of there. I looked at him funny and said I'm on my way out, just waiting on my friends inside. He said it more angrily and I told him to chill the frick out.

My friends come out to me getting slammed against a cop car with this fig screaming in my ear. He throws me in his car for about 5-10 minutes, talked to my friends, then pulled me out and told me to get the frick out.

It was the wildest 10 minutes of my life and I'm still not convinced I didn't bang his wife at some point.

The time I punched one in the face during a fight at Cowboys in Laffy in 1995, that was a big mistake

I've probably been pulled over 10-15 times. Almost always for speeding, although recently I got pulled over for rolling through a stop sign. I've gotten tickets probably 80 percent of the time.

I'm never happy when it happens and I don't smile and try to be their friend, but at the same time I just do what they ask and they either write me a ticket or they don't.

Most of this was when I was younger, but I did get a ticket recently for doing 92 in a 80 in Montana at 2:00 am. I thought 12 over was pretty shitty, but the cop assured me he was giving me a "lower priced" ticket. He actually did and it said I was only 5-10 over and it was only like a $60 ticket.

No need to escalate things or get upset. I just try harder not to get caught...

Been pulled over probably 50 times, multiple times under the influence including twice with weed and was let go every time. Never had an argument or bad experience. “Yes sir, no sir” along with honesty (except for drinks consumed) and compliance equals zero issues almost every single time.

A cop was a massive douche to me one day when I was driving home after a Raisin Canes shift. Dude kept trying to say I was "out clubbing" even though I literally smelled like chicken and had chicken stains on my shirt (I was cooking chicken). Pulled me over for a "tail light being out), and after I declined his offer to search my car he argued turning down that search was probable cause to search. I stood my ground and he eventually let me go, but dude was a grade a a-hole.

Happened to me in high school. Barely had time to get my silk boxers up when they started shining flashlights and telling us to get out the car.
So there I am standing behind my car with a semi hard slong and three cop cars. They laughed a little and told us to go find a hotel room.

Walked with my buddy while he went to find a place to piss during a parade. He ended up walking behind a strip mall dumpster that was closed off to any view and was pissing in the grass. I stood on the other side and waited. Next thing I know about 5 JP cops come walking up telling me to turn around and put my hands on the dumpster. They frisked me, took my wallet out of my back pocket and cuffed me and my friend. After about 5 minutes of fricking with us they let us go. We walk back to our group and thats when my friend noticed they took all the money(400 and something) out his wallet. Luckily I had my money locked in my car.

Commuting home from BR to River Ridge and was about to get off at my exit when a white pick up waited until the last absolute second to get over from the exit lane, blocking me from getting off. I honked and flipped him the bird. He put his lights on, pulled me over, and yelled at me. I guess he was a Levee Police Officer. I asked him if he was even allowed to pull me over, but he never answered that.

I'm not trashy so I haven't had one. Always found the police to be professional and respectful if you treat them the same.
