What would be your plan of escape during a mass shooting at work?

I know the expert advice is to shelter in place, but there is no way I'm going to sit around waiting for the calvary while armed with only a stapler. There's a guy on my floor who has bad allergies and sneezes a lot. My strategy is to hide near him but in a different room. When his sneezing alerts the shooter to his presence, I can use this diversion to escape.

Run out of the back door or the front door. Maybe the side door if those are covered

We can't have firearms at work, so that's not an option for me. I think our security guard is armed with a knife, fork, and spoon.

My plan would be to seoop in and break the gunman’s neck.

What I would probably do is trample old ladies while making my escape.

I'd shelter in a room with the door closed, with at least 1 other person, if possible. If there's no window access I'd have both of us by the door and as soon as it's opened take down the person that opens it. Hopefully that element of surprise will save us. If not, at least we did all we could. Trying to escape is too risky unless I know for sure that the escape will work.

Have thought about stashing a rifle in my office, but doubt boss man would appreciate that. Mass shooting not really a threat, robbery is though.

Good strategy. The shooter would likely be repulsed by the smell and move on.

We have armed security patrolling the grounds and all outsiders are stopped upon entry. If you have no business on our campus you are told to run along.

If a co worker goes nuts I have 3 exits near my desk an I would sprint to one of them and get the hell out. Plenty of cubes and angles to cover behind during my exit.

frick sheltering in place, I'm gone. I think the dumbest advice ever is telling people to hunker down or play dead. People need to start paying more attention to their surroundings and make it a point in identifying exits. Maybe I'm weird, but I always think about that shite. You stay put and it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

I grab you and use you as my shield until he runs out of ammo.
