10/10 story. Would read again. Enjoy the upvote, good sir.
I thought she acted the part well and I liked the character.

Oh yeah, don’t let St. George fire respond to any calls, and don’t let st. George police respond to any call to his properties. Sleep in the bed you made.

Cool then maybe EBR should direct it’s police and fire not to respond to anything in St. George while St. George is trying to set up their government.

re: Rome- how'd I miss this?

I read that they originally had 4 seasons written out, and found out midway through season 2 it would be cancelled. So they condensed and shoved what they could into the rest of the season.
Does this end up detracting from the watch?

Yes. It really detracts from it a lot. First season was really really good and it totally falls off the rails in season 2. Sucks because I think it could have been great. I think production costs were too high and this was before HBO was willing to deal with that.

Ultimately I took a leap of faith and responded with “because he’s a girly man and he’s being silly”. My son accepted that answer and continued to play

So basically you’re saying this was no big deal and didn’t hurt your son in anyway? Sounds like he didn’t even care. So why do you care so much?

Just saying I’ve done a lot of tasting menus in Manhattan and $134 is on the cheaper side.
Depends on the charges. If he impeached the Senate would then vote on whether to disqualify him from future office.

He was an assistant under our indoor coach and we just elevated him to head beach coach. Looks like most of his experience is indoor.

Hm well then I dk why.

Why isn’t BVB HC not coaching LSUVB?

In a lot of respects the two games are very different. Obviously they are similar in a lot of ways but as far as strategy there are a lot of differences. You have the ability to run more and different sets and things indoor that you don’t do on the beach. Not saying our beach coach doesn’t know the indoor game, but he may not have that level of expertise indoor that he has on the beach.

For those of us that are new to the sport, please help us out. The LSU roster lists around 20 players. Beach volleyball matches only involves 2 players per team though. Do the other girls on the roster play during the season? If so, what determines which 2 teammates play in the playoffs?

It’s somewhat similar to golf in that you have 5 matches going on at once. You slot in at #1, #2, etc and each team’s #1s matchup and their #2s and so on through 5s. First team to win 3 matches wins the duel.

So you have 10 players playing at once plus you have alternates and then you have other girls competing internally to get playing time, etc. so that’s why you have about 20 players on the team. The bottom players may not play in a match all year but they are matching up in practice and are also there for injury and of course to improve to get on the court in future years.

If we beat USC, would we have to beat UCLA twice, or is it a single championship duel?

I believe it is a single championship duel. Seems a bit unfair to UCLA but I guess their reward is not having to play this morning.

LSU will face the winner of Florida State vs. Hawaii

FSU lost to USC this morning. USC is playing Hawaii now and LSU will face the winner tomorrow.
Just watched the morning match on ESPN. Coverage was great. Glad they're showing this on ESPN and looking forward to watching the Tigers!
quote:

he only beat that Dothraki Horse Lord because the fighter did not know how to fight a man in armor.

Not necessarily true. He used the Dothraki's non-ability to fight a man in armor to his advantage and won, that does not mean he would have lost to him otherwise. If anything it shows that he keeps his wits and abilities in a fight and was able to find the easiest way to win that one.

Also remember he, Greyworm, and Daario took down basically the entire city of Yunkai. The guy is very skilled.

You uh...ya' know this from experience, Camelot?

No sword experience for me, just thinking about it logically. I know it's not exactly the same thing, but think about swinging a baseball bat with wrists and then without wrists. Going to be a much much longer and slower swing without wrists. So if there's someone there trying to kill you while you swing, it's going to be pretty easy to dodge or deflect your wrist-less swing and then you're left wide open for a kill.
quote:

wrist action is pretty important when swinging that sword.

Yep. Try and swing a sword without wrist action and it will be such a long swing you'll die in seconds. That being said, they could attach a short sword or dagger to that arm and he can use it just for stabbing.

Although maybe he will prefer a shield in that hand? We haven't really seen him fight lefty in awhile so maybe he's improved a ton and would rather fight with sword and shield in hand.

I think he was referring to white walkers only and not the wights.

Ah, well if so than that's my mistake. I was using the terms interchangeably although you're right that they aren't necessarily the same thing.

re: What are you reading?

Saxon Tales series by Bernard Cornwell.

I love historical fiction and I blew threw the first five of these. Great reads. Currently on 7 and the series is still going strong, although it gets a bit repetitive.

I'm going to be upset if we dont see a major character death next episode.

Well then I don't think you'll be upset.

quote:

At the current rate, it appears that their giving fan favorites super plot armor.

I disagree. They tied up a ton of storylines and/or had some redemptions and proud moments for a lot of characters in this episode which signals, to me, that pretty much all of them are fair game.

The only deaths that would shock me in the next episode would be John, Dany, Sansa, or Tyrion. Other than that, I would not be overly surprised by any character's death. And it is still possible that one of the above mentioned die as well.
quote:

With the exception of the Nights King I think all the white walkers are sons of Craster (the ones he was just leaving out in the woods, like he would have for Little Sam).

I don't think this is true. Certainly not in the show. Craster's sons are very possibly a part of the army of the dead, but we don't have any real evidence that it's made up of exclusively Craster's sons. Just the mere fact that the army is made up of 1000s of soldiers disproves this theory. Plus the fact that we've seen many other dead bodies turned into wights.

I am fairly sure that the army of the dead is made up of thousands of years worth of people killed by the night king and his followers, and the army has just built up over time for much longer than Craster's lifespan.
