Use my stapler like nunchucks with my extra old school yellow pencil in the other. I keep them ninja sharp and wild like Milton.

But honestly, we have limited exits and I’m not fast enough to make it there strategically. I’d barricade myself in the office with my employees. Tip my big metal file cabinet over in front of the door. It’d be more trouble than it’s worth for him to push through.

I'll be running.

If I die in one of these things, I will likely have been shot in the arse or the back. If I get shot in the front it probably means that I was the first person that they shot. I might be over thinking this.

Damn man, really?
Id try to knock out a window so they could escape or try to arm them with some blunt objects for when he came into the room. If we re gonna die, go out swingin. I couldnt look myself in the mirror if I left kids to die for my own life and I got 5 kids of my own.

At what point do companies start issuing bullet proof vests at work? They seem expensive like $1K but I’m not sure people would even be able to put them on quickly

We have armed security patrolling the grounds and all outsiders are stopped upon entry. If you have no business on our campus you are told to run along.

If a co worker goes nuts I have 3 exits near my desk an I would sprint to one of them and get the hell out. Plenty of cubes and angles to cover behind during my exit.

So what do you when all these options fail?

Office is armed. Plan exit. Shoot if needed. I’m not getting in a gun fight if I don’t have to.

The same “escape work” plan I use for all other occasions.

I have a 1911 in my desk drawer and the only way out would be where the shooter comes in the building. My choices would be to hide or fight.

We actually have training on how to handle a mass shooting at work situation. Pretty sad that we have to do it but better safe than sorry I suppose.

I work with Dwight schrute, so no worries here. The shooters better hope they have an escape plan.

We recently had a guy come into our peds ER armed with large knives in both of his hands threatening staff and visitors. Security quickly got him out of the hopsital where he fled and then tried to charge at police across the street with the knives. Really bad move on his part. Don’t bring knives to a gun fight.

As for my escape plan...my desk is right next to a fire escape door that says it will alarm if opened but doesn’t. Goes directly to outside of the hospital and can’t be opened from the outside. Active shooter and I am running out that door and hauling arse down the street as far as I can run.

I can tell you that I can run out the door in a little under 5 seconds from my desk.

Then I have a choice: grab a gun from my car and reenter or go get a smoothie from down the street.

Get out if it was known that the stairwells are clear. Shelter in place with the door locked and obstacles in front of the door if escape isn't possible.

We've actually had active shooter training at our office.

Stay my arse in the lab where the shooter needs three valid credentials to get through the security doors.

I work at Nakitomi so I'd immediately initiate Christmas party protocol and invite my good buddy, John. He's married to one of my coworkers.

If that didn't work, I'd think I'd drop below desk, come around the edge with pistol drawn.

I have an exit door in my office. Gun in truck less than 15 feet away.
