Well this is retarded. If you don't want to force a view down their throats until they can think for themselves shouldn't the default be to not raise them as any religion?
My wife is still a practicing Catholic. I think the Catholic religions teachings are a great way to live ones life, I just don't buy into the higher power aspect.

Raised Catholic.
Today, most people who know me would likely call me a saint, but I don't go in for religious discussions or gatherings. I just try to give inspiration by way of my example.

I bounced around a lot between churches as a kid, mostly Methodist. Im 29 now, and I haven't been to church in 8 years or so.
I'm not a big enough of a douche to be an atheist. I don't see the point in being an agnostic since NOBODY knows what happens when we die. So, I guess I'm a disillusioned Christian who doesn't like going to church because I get easily annoyed with the process as well as a lot of the hypocritical people who go.

Did you realize that by yourself? I never understood the Trinity beliefs, or how you could actually believe Jesus and God were the same person. The whole bible wouldnt make sense

That's the point of agnosticism.

Really outside scope here... but yes.... read all the word in red and to me (IMHO) they didn't add up to the other words that were being said. I'll leave it at that - although this is likely more than enough to raise ire of some.

Why is it a douche to simply not be convinced that there are gods?
I get being a douche ABOUT being an atheist or a believer for that matter...but am not following why the thought process assumes one is.

Big fan of the teachings of Jesus in the gospels themselves, but most of the rest of the Bible is utter nonsense. Have you actually read the Old Testament? God is a sick puppy what with all the murdering of women and children and genocide and whatnot. Man has his nuts crushed and God wants him banned from church... what's up with that? I could go on, but I digress.

Is this a jab at Presbyterianism?
at least at the church I went to for 20 years. The average attendee was there to be seen, on the few non Christmas or Easter occasions they showed up. I also went to an Episcopal school for a little bit. That was more devout.

Raised Catholic but now I'm not very religious at all. I guess I'd say I have Christian values.
