raised methodist, went to grade school at a Adventist school, graduated from a Catholic High School, almost converted to Catholicism.
read the Bible about 3 times after high school and into adulthood and realized it was completely full of shite and became an agnostic.

Yeah, if you don't believe in these things, why would you raise your kid to believe them? Isn't that basically admitting that you think having religion is better than not having religion?

Raised Catholic, now atheist.
I actually stopped believing in god when I was about 14 despite growing up in a devoutly Catholic family and going to Catholic school. I've just always had a good nose for bullshite I guess

Upbringing: Southern Baptist with Catholic schooling peppered in in early grammar school
Currently: Agnostic / Don't be a dick.
I feel like I'm pretty smart, but not so smart that I can answer definitively one way or another (God / No God). I choose to be amazed by things that are miraculous and inexplicable, as well as researching for myself and finding reasons for other things happening that might be able to be explained.

at least at the church I went to for 20 years. The average attendee was there to be seen, on the few non Christmas or Easter occasions they showed up. I also went to an Episcopal school for a little bit. That was more devout.

I am Catholic, but my dad was a non practicing Baptist, his mom (my grandmother converted to Methodist. I was taught that it doesn't matter what religion a person practises. Now, I am still a Catholic, but not a practicing Catholic. I believe there is a higher power than us, but not in the traditional way most people believe.
