Catholic/Catholic
Maybe you haven't found the right church?
Church is just a form of worship, gathering, and celebration of your deity.

Grew up in a home where my grandfather was a baptist preacher and my dad was a deacon. So, I was in church basically my whole life. Some things happened almost two years ago in my family that I will not go into, but my grandfather wasn't the man I looked up to for 23 years. I'm 25 now and my family is still at odds with each other and it hasn't been the same ever since. I feel like I was lied to for many years sitting on the church pew after all that has happened with my grandfather. Nothing has changed in my faith, but it's very hard for me to sit through a church service and not think that "so and so" is a hypocrite because that's what I went through. I probably shouldn't think that way, but it's where I'm at with it at this point in time. It's still fairly new too with it not being two years just yet.

Raised Catholic, still Christian but don't associate with a specific brand of it these days.

Non denominational, Assembly of God I guess you would say?? I've been a preachers kid my entire life, and if not for my children I would NEVER step a foot back into the church. Watching flaky and fruity people treat my parents like a flavor of the week has destroyed my spirituality....and my parents continue to take it on the chin with a smile and love these assholes!! My parents are Saints and better than I'll ever be
Yes, I need some type of support group for my bitterness haha!! I'm just convinced that if I live my life with integrity and treat people with respect that I'm good to go....I pray and thank God for my blessings everyday, but I'm so over "church"

Pretty much this. I've got my issues with the Catholic Church as an entity, but I still hold on to may of my Christian values.

Catholic mom with hardcore catholic family
Atheist dad with atheist family (all politicians and lawyers)
Went to catholic school for 8 years
Final result: atheist (as are my siblings).
The funny thing is not once did my dad ever try to pull us away from religion. It was always shite like "mom, how come dad isn't comin to church?" "Oh he has to play golf honey."
We just went along with it
I'm sure I'll marry a catholic since the hottest pieces of arse are usually from rich catholic families and the cycle will repeat

For some I guess, but IceTiger said

That sarcasm is going to elicit some downvotes.

Well this is retarded. If you don't want to force a view down their throats until they can think for themselves shouldn't the default be to not raise them as any religion?
