Ended up in pretty well paying jobs as far as just out of college, so money wasn’t an issue but of course I pissed a ton away on pointless lunches and bar tabs.
First year or two it was stupid, still trying to pull off the ridiculous weekday night drunk fests, but lucky enough to be in a job where I could mostly pull off the hangover. After that was more of a Thursday happy hour drinking thing on weekday nights anyway. Throughout the time period, Fridays and Saturdays were always balls-out partying.

slayed poon non stop, constantly at the overpass bars, and drove a POS car! Then took an Ok job but didn't start my career until 4 years after graduation. Bought first house after that, and proposed to my wife. Worked non stop and traveled in corporate world, made a lot of money, and bought the American Dream in my thirties: acreage/shop/pond/farm/tractor

Mine were definitely underachieving but really happy and athletic/outdoors. I had a series of shitty sales jobs and then went to Japan and taught English which I loved . I really didn’t hit my stride yet because I just hadn’t figured it out but I enjoyed the hell out of life and traveled a lot.

This sounds like right about where I’m at right now.

I started my career in a strange industry that required a lot of relocating. By 5 years out I was in my 6th city living pay check to pay check and largely partying too much. My biggest regret is getting bogged down in a long distance relationship for a time that mostly served to limit my experiences looking back at it. I know people like to say they wouldn’t change a thing, but I’d actually change quite a few things/decisions if I could. Live and learn.

I was fortunate enough to not waste time on college.
That time was about making money and learning everything there was to know about my trade without having to write papers on how the transvestite sloth is an endangered species due to the white straight male's work ethic.

Got married right away and had my fourth kid when I was 29. When I was 25 we bought an unfinished house that needed drywall but was roughed in for plumbing, HVAC and electrical. We finished it ourselves. My wife retired at 24 to raise children, so I was the only financial support. I worked about 45-50 hours per week from 6:30 AM to 4 PM every day and Saturday mornings.
I spent all my spare time with the kids and wife. It was a great time of life - making plans and working to achieve them.

Mine wasn't graduating from college, but completing my Tour of Duty in the US Army. Right after i got out, i got hired with The Boeing Company and have worked for them ever since 2008. It was a grind for sure. Transitioning from Soldier to Citizen is harder than it sounds. That and starting at the bottom of the company. In the end, it has all worked out for the best and i wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

89-92 I bartended, hard to remember but I had a good old time.
90-92 I sold pagers and car phones...which sounds like a real job but it wasn’t, especially since I didn’t actually ever sell anything.
92-93 I sold cooking classes and catering for the New Orleans School of Cooking, fun but I learned not to work for a family business unless you are family.
93- on i started career #1
New Orleans was the easiest place in the country back then to have fun and live well with no money

Everyone is different but for me seems better to get it out of system so later when you’re married with kids and deep into your career you won’t be driven to partying. Ideally.

Year 0-2: I had a good paying job, got a place, bought a used truck that I've always wanted, had a lot of fun while working. Worked to get my health in order (lose weight, eat right, work out constantly, find a hobby sport locally)
Year 3-6: Got my first layoff, went to work for a company where I traveled all over the country on long rotations. Made bank, saved up for 2 years along with my fiance and bought a house.
I've never missed college. It was a stepping stone.

Graduated on a Saturday, went to work on a Monday. Moved 3 times in that time period. After Andrew jacked up my roof, they offered me my second move. Tripled my starting pay in those five years. 30 years later, still with the same company. No regerts.

Grad school then left LA and joined big earl. Lived in 2 states during that time.
Had ~$5k net worth entering "real world". Partied moderately, but saved/invested ferociously. Hated corporate America for 3 of first 5 years (wrong job).
26-years later, it was all very worth it.
