Oh VLSI was a pain in the arse too.

Converting Fourier and Z transforms, remembering certain harmonics, nyquist

frick I’m getting PTSD.

Linear Circuit Analysis with Dr. Aravena

I didn’t get pass/drop/fail stats for my semester, but the semester before I took it, 50% dropped, and 50% of the remaining people failed.

I squeaked out a B, and my recollection now is I didn’t understand any of it. The curve was astronomical.

2nd on the list was electronics with Dr. Ho.

Mine were a senior level electrical engineering class i think called microprocessor design. Basically the chemistry in making a chip for your computer. That and Signals and Systems.

Calc 2 was a b$#$h.

Probably physics for me too. I sucked at that class. I’m not a “math” person, on the other hand I really liked statistics because I could see the logical real world application of stats. I’m never going to use physics or calculus, so I basically have no motivation to learn it.

Quantum physics or flight vehicle design (essentially high level control system theory)

My 4000 level finance. Could come into the test with one sheet of paper with whatever you wanted written on it. Still made a D. Got that degree though

Econometrics

Econometrics wasn't bad at all to me. I took all three to complete the concentration. I had heard horror stories about Economic Forecasting from friends. They said the Professor (Dr. Hillenbrand) would go crazy writing formulas on the board but I really enjoyed the class. I had a rough understanding of the material but near the end of the semester everything clicked. Wound up easily getting an A.

Hardest classes IMO were Money and Banking (Dr. Stahl) and Intermediate Microeconomics (Dr. Sarangi)

as a CE major, I definitely would say Thermo ME 3333.

I had some Mohamed guy and I still don't know wtf we were trying to accomplish, heat transfer and mass transfer. My highest grade on the 3 test was a 47. I know I couldn't have gotten above a 20 on the final. I made an honest effort and worked thru formula after formula not knowing where the hell I was going. Only class in engineering I honestly though I was going to fail. Somehow came out with a C

I didn't take hard classes in college. Either that, or I was just better at them than those in my class.

But I was a creative writing major, so it's really a matter of whether you have any talent versus whether you can understand complex equations and shite like so many engineers have to deal with.

Probably the upper level Latins were my hardest. I guess.

Strengths or Dynamics. Suresh Moorthy would rape you on the final.

Hardest:

Undergrad Diffy Qs

Law School Agency & Partnership mainly due to the prof

Worst:

Undergrad Organic Chem because it was the MD wannabe weed out class it required more time than any of my other classes

Law School Admiralty because I could care less about it

Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy. Not so much because of the course material but more because of the teacher, Dr. Homberger. We called her the "Swiss Bitch". Proudest "C" I ever got!

I believe she got into some trouble for her hard-arse grading and failing of students. May have even lost her tenure at some point.

Anyone Biology/Zoology/Pre-Med folks from a ways back remember her or know the details?

Being old I was fortunate to go to college in a era when 99% of the engineering, math, chemistry, physics professors and graduate TAs were born in America, and spoke English as a first language, that was probably a bonus of a full letter grade.
