On edit, I see this is a common one. I also had a pizza joint tell me one night they didn't have enough dough for the 4 large pizzas I wanted to order. Just close for the night.

Went to pizza hut (in the mid 1990s) and they were out of dough. They said we could eat all the spaghetti we wanted for free

I love Phil's so this is not a knock on them, but Phil's was out of Saltines two weeks in a row for oyster night. We ended up bringing a sleeve of our own and keeping it in the car on next visit just in case.
The only thing I can think of as to why they didn't just get some from the store, is that Saltines from the store aren't individually wrapped, so they didn't want to just serve them on plates to people?

That's weird because the same thing happened to me and it was probably around the same time frame. I just remember thinking how the hell can you call yourself Burger King and run out of frickin hamburgers?

There was a cafe du monde in the tokyo airport (~20 years ago) that didn't have beignets or coffee on its menu.

In college (over 20 years ago) I worked at a hotel next door to a Burger King.
One day they were out of all burgers (regular and whopper), chicken patties, fries, and cheese.
I asked them what they could make... they said chicken nuggets and onion rings, basically.

I’ve been to Wendy’s (in Houma) twice when they were out of hamburger patties. Once was shortly after Katrina so I understand. The other was just a normal time and day.

I haven’t used ketchup in years.
I think it’s funny when restaurants simply don’t carry something…TBT here sells wings and they do not carry blue cheese dressing, just ranch. I’ve seen more than a few people lose their shite over that detail.

We went to Carrabba's the other night. They were out of fettuccine, angel hair and linguini.
How does that even happen? They can't go next door to Kroger?
