My son started as a student at LSU in 2016 and I wanted to be able to discuss LSU sports with him. I have come to find I like Tigerdroppings much better than the Gator websites.

Back in 2004 I was still on the front row at bball games and I was young enough to get mad at people leaving early, so I was yelling at them like an idiot. Someone started a thread about me on the Rant and one of my friends told me about it. So I started an account and responded.
Posted two or three times that night and then forgot about it. Then in January of '05, I started working for the State and had some down time, so I rediscovered TD and never looked back. My posting has slowed down a ton over the year, and for years I only posted at work. I bet I was averaging 75+ posts a day during work hours in my OT heyday. Good times...

high school friends were getting recruited by lsu and i wanted to see what they had to say and somehow stumbled on the OT. the OT was very funny circa 2012.

Umm it was 2002 when I first made it...it was a choice between here and tigerforums. Tf was actually better at the time....then chicken made the switch to the current software and layout.....rest is history.

I found the site because it would come up in Google results every time I’d search for literally anything about Baton Rouge (mechanic recs, restaurants, etc.). Y’all were mildly terrifying and disgusting to me, but I eventually grew desensitized.
I created an account but never intended to post (hence the really stupid username). I’m not sure what prompted me to finally start responding.

It was shortly after the 2003 Cotton Bowl loss. I was looking for a new place to discuss and find info on LSU baseball and football. The Yahoo Sports chat rooms were fairly meh, since only a few people were participating. I Googled something like "LSU message board" and stumbled upon this site. Two decades later, I'm still here....

I don't remember how I found this place. Probably looking for something about LSU sports. It was before you had to register.
The class of '05 was a tough crowd. If your skin was thin and or you were easily offended, this place probably gave you nightmares.
