I remember the one where Wolf Blitzer was interviewing an Oklahoma woman who'd just had a tornado blow away her home.

Blitzer: So do you just thank God you're alive?
Woman: (puzzled look) No, I'm an atheist.

Memo to reporters - just because someone from flyover country has a hick accent and lives in a trailer house doesn't mean she's a Bible-thumper.

I remember a day or 2 prior to Katrina hitting when they were trying to interview people as they were evacuating, they found their target. They interview this guy with his wife and daughter asking them where they are evacuating to. He says they are going to stay on his shrimp boat and ride out the storm.
I felt terrible for his little girl. Never heard if they made it or not.

It wasn't a disaster but the spoof interview at OJ's house with a Robert Higgins.

I think it is(was) a Georgia based chain.

Al Copeland went to buy it as at the time it was larger than Popeyes, and when he did, his bank called in his loans, and he went bankrupt.

So Church's is the reason why Popeye's went downhill, or more likely the bankers and backers who didn't trust him.

As a kid growing up in PA I remember when politician R. Budd Dwyer committed suicide on live TV w/ a .357 -- I just remember the blood spattering all over the curtains behind him and coming out of his mouth/nose like a fountain.

One I remember well was some young black guy who had been forced to evacuate New Orleans after Katrina, and was pissed.

The reporter asked him what would make it all better , and he yells, "I want $40,000.00".

He had a nice looking piece of Kryptonite with him, so I don't know why he was complaining.

About an hour after Columbine, CNN was talking to a fleeing high schooler on her cell phone, after about 30 seconds, she goes "How did you guys get my number?"

They quickly cut away and reassured the audience.

That was only trumped by the caller they put live on the air shortly after who said that Howard Stern shot all those kids because no one was watching his TV show.

How about the old woman that after like three days her dog appears within 5 feet from her during the interview from the Oklahoma tornados... I was like WOW....

I remember that.

At least after reading this thread, I think I do.
