It's easy to see how rumor's start, 2 people in this thread claim to have seen something that doesn't exist. I heard that one right after Katrina and knew it was just a joke.

I saw that interview. The reporter was almost dumbfounded by the response. I thought it was a joke.

I recall a few with eye witnesses giving false names, like Hugh G. Rection or Haywood Jablome.

The lady out in LA reading the suppossed names of the asian air crew who almost crashed (Bang Crash Ow, Fly Tu Lo, as I recall) was a riot...

I can never find it, but after Katrina, a reporter asked a lady what they were going to do now that all of the churches were flooded.

She said We don't eat at Churches, we like Popeyes.

This mockery of the massive overcoverage of every nothing storm after Katrina.

Did you just say Ike was a nothing storm? Or did I read that wrong.

then it spreads so quickly now.

I had a girl with 35 comments on her post about how people on Welfare are getting new Chevy's from Obama.

She had a link and all. It was from a satire site. Said person lives in a goddamn trailer. Yet didn't stop her and 34 of her friends from acting like there tax funds were buying people cars.

Shepard Smith reporting live in the FQ the day before Katrina hit and saw a guy walking his dog down the street. He asks the guy why he's walking his dog and not evacuating and the guy yells back "Go frick Yourself!"

Always laughed when I thought about that
