What is your current computer?
14” laptop, under 4 lbs.
Ryzen 9 processor, 48GB RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD w/ heatsink, Nvidia RTX 4060 8GB, 1440p 2560×1440 165hz screen. I upgraded the RAM and SSD myself. All together ~$1600. I got a really good deal on the laptop.
I normally have it docked pushing 2 32” 1440p 240hz curved monitors. I just bought it recently to replace an older 17” ROG laptop. This thing is nice, lightweight and very portable, but still a beast.

an Nvidia RTX graphics card with 2000 cudas
This might be one of the weirdest things I've ever heard someone say regarding a PC build

Sir that’s not the same.

There is no comparison here for Apples due to their cost.
Had my PC built at Computer Micro for about $2100 + tax. Computer Micro is like a home depot for computers. It has twelve 4 ghz AMD water cooled processors, 32 gig of ram, an Nvidia RTX graphics card with 2000 cudas, a server size case with a big power supply and a couple of 1T SSD drives for boot and virtual ram.
It's great for 3D rendering except I don't do that anymore.
Ok, now that I've had a second: how old is this build? Nvidia hasn't put out a card with that few cuda cores since, what, the 20 series?

I only use my computer at tax time
Everything else is via phone or work laptop.

My workhorse desktop is a Wintel box originally built by TigerDirect in 2013. i5 processor, 16GB RAM. Have replaced the PSU once, upgraded the C drive from HDD to SSD and replaced a slowly dieing data HDD with one double the capacity.
Work laptop is a Dell Inspiron laptop about 2 years old. Not sure if the Windows 11 upgrade will get us new ones or not.
Current play toy is a Dell Optiplex 755 MT running that was just upgraded from Ubuntu 22.02 to 24.02.

A government-issued Dell 5520 and my 11 year old Toshiba Satellite laptop. My fiancée got a pretty well optioned Lenovo gaming laptop last year. We both only use our computers for office functions and web browsing. Only reason I will need to get a new laptop eventually is because it can't support a newer version of Windows

Mid 2014 MacBook Pro. Original battery isn’t what it once was, but she’s still going strong.

Macbook Air I purchased last Christmas season when it was on a pretty good sale (25% off).
My last one was purchased in 2014 and lasted almost 10 years....I only replaced it b/c its 2nd battery was starting to underperform.
Same. The old one still works when it's plugged in, so I was fortunately able to back everything up, but I finally had to upgrade to the new macbook after a pretty good 10 year run. I'd also gotten so far behind on updates that it was starting to be a problem just to use the damn internet.
