Body mass index. It's a rough guess if you are at a healthy weight or not.

LOL

It's a fricking sham, and another way for Doctors to claim people are obese and get them on pills.

Just ran my numbers, LOLOL I'd need Aids and a leg or 2 removed to get to underweight by that shite chart. And the chart is from the 50's.

People are 100% built differently than in the 50's.

Lol, just ran wr's and running backs from NFL and the first 5 i ran, are over weight/obese

Get the frick out of here

Look at the guy using .0005% of the population to justify why a metric doesn’t apply to him.

It is always the most athletic being used.

No one uses your average Walmart worker or O&G worker as a reason for why it isn’t applicable.

It’s always the peak of human physicality that is used to discredit it.

Change your athletes to ones with less muscle mass. For example, Chris Froome - cyclist
6’1” 152lbs
BMI 20.5

Funny you would mention that. Jamar at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Highland by campus is 6’2 225. I’d love someone to go call him fat.

I am a 28.8 but I lift and am around 17% body fat dexa scanned. I am in the bmi doesn't matter catagory, but like you said, I love people that are 30% bodyfat saying..."I'm not really fat, but prolly need to lose 10-15 lbs". I want to just scream at those guys.

Jesus Christ...all the mother frickers saying it doesn't take into account muscle mass all while 80% of the male population can't do 5 strict chin-ups. Everyone thinks they have way more muse mass than they do. Way more.

6’1.5”, 217 and it calculates a 28. I’d have to drop below 200 to make the normal range.
