DK Metcalf is borderline obese according to BMI
Well, Scruffy is glad Metcalf isn’t an outlier and his body habitus and lifestyle is applicable to the standard American.

It's interesting, because I'm pretty much the same height and weight as Metcalf. I look a little different though with my shirt off.

If everybody looked like him I’d be locking my car doors and crossing to the other side of the street all the time!

Don’t worry.

You aren’t obese. Metcalf isn’t obese at that height and weight either.

Body fat is a better number

True but hard for the average person to determine.

I am 6' 184 and a 25, need to lose a pound to not be "overweight".

For comparison of how it does work for some very in shape individuals Antonio Brown (used him because he is in the news and no one would consider him fat) has a BMI of 26.7. OBJ's BMI is 27.6. Just like military standards I had a couple of swole guys in my platoon that couldn't meet height/weight so they had to do a body fat test.

Meh, it's just a general deal.

6', 209 = BMI 28.3 "overweight"

The above stats are for Drew Brees, BTW.

He moved pretty good last night for a fatty.

Yeah BMI is mostly a load of shite because it doesn't take into account people with an athletic build. Waist circumference is a better measurement of being overweight.

This is Scruffy’s favorite deflection.

Using .00056% of the US population, not to mention the most athletic of the US population to disprove a metric.

Why is it that people always go to the 1600 Americans who play professional football, as if they are a reflection of the standard citizen group?

It’s freaking hilarious.

No comprehension of outlier groups.

No one uses the average gas station worker or Walmart worker to disprove the metric.

Nope, they go with the most athletic groups out there.

Agreed.

I am sure I could lose 10 lbs and not miss it, but as long as my cardio health is good, I'm not gonna get mental about it.

I like that evening cocktail.
