Don't use anything in the SMILE network. They will grind as much money out of you as possible while working your teeth like a NASCAR pit crew.

There is a pediatric dentist that laid a guilt trip and scare tactic on my wife about putting 8 caps on baby teeth when my girl went in for a visit. They actually wanted to put her under surgical anesthesia to put caps on her teeth because she had soft spots that COULD cause problems down the road. The gave a big spill about gum infections, permanent damage to her adult teeth. WTF? 1st, putting a kid under for a dental procedure? really? That's fricking crazy. 8 caps on teeth she would be losing because of possible problems. Not current problems. I asked the dentist if she would remove her breast to prevent possible breast cancer?

Obviously we had a second opinion and our current dentist wanted to just watch the areas because she would be loosing those teeth in the year or so.

It's partially b/c our dental insurance basically tells us where we can get our teeth worked on and often those places are corporate owned. Them quotas ain't gonna meet themselves.

Not at all. She really good and has the credentials to back it up. She spent a good bit of time getting trained/certified or whatever to do the implants. She'd told me of her intentions over a year before she started doing the implants due to the necessary training, purchasing equipment etc.... I have complete faith in her abilities.

Yall need to quit going to Aspen Dental and find a real dentist with their own practice.

So what should a lamen look for, and ask for a solid good dental experience? I dont really trust doctors of any kind now adays. Seems like all is more confusing, and no one knows what they are talking about/agreeing.

This is laughable.

Dental care seems to have downgraded over the years. I remember more extensive cleaning sessions when I was a kid by a smoking hot hygienist (not relevant).

Now it’s wham, bam, thank you sir, now gimme all your cold hard cash. I swear, the actual polishing now, the hygienist never actually covers every tooth. It’s like every other one. Then the actual dentist comes in for 2 minutes and makes all the bank.

Not to mention the places running the x-ray racket which is the worst. Never had a cavity or tooth problem in my life. They wanted their 2x a year x-rays until I wised up when I had to start paying for my own cleanings. I only get them done once a year to a year and a half now. Usually adds on $50.

So. $150 dropped for 15 actual minutes of treatment at best, and 15 minutes of just waiting for the dentist to come by.
