I’m 43 and my oldest daughter is 19. Niece (who we helped raise) is 25. They’re kids in my head. When I talk to them, a large portion of what they say is indicative of that….they just sound like baby adults. Same with their friends.
There is just nothing about this that I could find attractive. A well-adjusted 40 year old man should have the ability to weave what’s going on in his brain with what’s going on downstairs when determine what is attractive. If he can’t, he’s likely mentally/emotionally stunted or just ridiculously horny. OP sounds like the former.

My body not being able to do the same amount of work as 10+ years ago. Adapting to that has been a bitch. I look back at my dad and remember that it seemed like he ALWAYS had some project going on, non stop, but now I wonder if it was just because he was older and it took him twice as long to do everything.

I spend a lot of time at the gym and there are a ton of high schools senior girls here. I don’t find them attractive in the least.
Now the 25-35 years olds are a different story.

My wife has a daughter in college and a son that is a junior in high school. She 44 and looks better than 99.9% if the women in the quad.. when a woman works out daily and takes great care of her skin, hair and body they only age better..

I’ve got a coworker that’s 51 in great shape but will only date women 25 or younger. He can’t keep any because they leave. He says he’s only attracted to young women. He was 49 dating a 19 year old. I’ve been married for 25 years happily but if I was single I’d want someone closer to my age that’s just me
