According to Eternal Inflation Theory, most probably. EIT indicates that our Universe is part of a Multiverse, most of which is forever expanding.
Our spacetime began when we budded off from another universe via the Big Bang. We appear to be in a region that will eventually expand into oblivion, given the known nature of our physics.
When considering inflation, actually all of science in general, it’s best to avoid the idea of nothingness. Substitute “that which is not yet detectable” for the term “nothing.” That’s the only way it will make sense to us, given the way our reasoning is structured.

Right. To expand. If you look at a grid system, and galaxies are the nodes. The grid itself is growing/moving. Not just the nodes. Regardless of which node you are on, everything is moving away from you.

But with zero dimensions, absolute nothingness... not only is nothing there, nothing can possibly be there because there is no space in which to exist.
See, this is what I assume would be the default status of reality, without a “first mover”. Absolute nothingness. The energy that popped into existence at the Big Bang should not have been able to exist.

It didn't just pop into existence all on its own as the only thing that existed in the universe. Energy and matter have positive energy density and distort spacetime. Distortion of spacetime is gravity. Gravity has a negative energy density. If the energy tied up in gravitation equals the energy tied up in mass-energy, the net total is 0, and allows for a universe that can exist self-contained, all on its own, without causing an apparent violation of the conservation of energy.
Since mass and energy distort spacetime, and on the largest scales, our measurements of spacetime show that it's probably perfectly flat, the implication is that the universe contains 0 net energy. For some reason, though, it does contain pockets of non-zero energy that are able to sit and discuss it on an LSU based message board.

You have to make it through th bed and bath section before you get to beyond

The bulk! We don’t even know if it has the same laws as our universe, or even if it could even be imagined as being “physically” outside of it.
It’s better to not look at it as if it’s some physical entity out there on the other side of our universe’s event horizon. It might only exist in a higher dimension and our universe is encased by it(or a projection of it) shite, it’s presence in a higher dimension could be where dark energy/other phenomen comes from and it’s bleeding into our 3d space. We can see its effect but don’t yet know where it comes from. I like to think of all of this as a multiverse with universes popping in and out like air bubbles in water. A bubble in water will change properties as it goes toward equilibrium, and continue to exist or collapse if need be. I’m not sure how a universe coalesces back toward a singularity eventually restarting, but the idea of a cycle sounds good.

There is nothing.
Space didn’t expand to fill a void. Space creates the void as it expands.
It’s almost impossible to understand.
