Inflation Theory best explains the conundrum of spacetime expansion. It began a few microsecnds after the Big Bang and will continue without end, according to current popular thought. Classic matter, dark matter and all energies will expand into spacetime until their constituent parts are isolated from each other and no longer move. This will mark the end of our Universe.
