To play Pop Warner football in 5/6 grades. couple years !ater they caved and let my brother play. I harbored a minor grudge about it for decades until it somehow came up in conversation and my Mom said "oh, we would've let you play if we knew you REALLY wanted to. Your brother begged, pleaded and threw a fit." I had been taught when Mom & Dad say no it is final. Perhaps it's best I never started football since I was hospitalized for a major concussion a year earlier.

That Davey Crocket Musket from Frontier Land at Disney World when I was 5.

The first time we took my son to Disney World we went straight to Frontier Land as soon as we arrived in the Magic Kingdom and I bought him a Davey Crocket Musket. He was three, had no idea who Davey Crocket was, but I made sure he had that musket.

Same. I got this weird knockoff that was a cross between a starter jacket and members only jacket without a hood. Kids were brutal.

Also Snake Mountain from masters of the universe.

That robot you could buy for Nintendo. Although it was pretty much bullshite and didn't really do anything, I remember wanting one so bad.

I was big on Ninja Turtles during their initial run. My parents drew the line at the Turtle Blimp. It was an expensive balloon, so probably the right call.

Parachute pants. In hindsight, I’m glad mom didn’t let me get them.
