Waterproof
Yep. This place too. I have a camp in Tensas Parish. I have to drive through Ferriday, Clayton and Waterproof (the trifecta of shitholes) to get there. If you speed through any of these dumps you have to be insane because there absolutely will be a speed trap 24/7, 365.

Port Vincent is kinda rigged with multiple changing speed limits and limits set way too slow.

Robeline...saw a cop pass a few cars with his lights on and then stop in the middle of Highway 6 and waived them all over.

The auditors office has done a report on fines and forfeitures per capita. Though pretty old now (2007) it is still interesting. Click the Adobe attachment in the link to see every city.
Speed Trap Data
Interesting that they are doing it "per capita."
Comparing Baskin, pop. 246, to Woodworth, pop. 1,109, it looks like Woodworth is writing more than twice the number of tickets, assuming that the fines are the same.

St. John had a really bad speed trap on I-10 for the longest.

Hwy 20 (Especially between Shreveport & Ruston) is the biggest joke in this state.

Still do. Black SUV's sit on the side of the road and they are hard to pick up on unless you are looking for them (which I am now).
Total BS revenue generator. I got pulled over 84 in a 70. Cop didn't even ask for my insurance or registration. Took my license, wrote me a ticket and moved on to the next one.

Ferriday hasn’t been as bad as before they busted basically the whole mayors office for corruption and stealing money several years ago. The mayor went to jail for a few months, then the stupid people here went and elected him mayor again! It’s hilarious how dumb most Ferridians are... but waterproofs mayor and st Joseph’s mayor got caught basically doing the same thing and they just got a slap on the wrist... st Joseph mayor stole the city blind when they got funding to upgrade their water system... now, they still have basically sewer water flowing throw “potable” pipes. Speed traps are the least incriminating things most of these small town mayors and chiefs have done in most of these small towns along the river.
I will say that the most police I’ve EVER seen out and about at one time doing nothing but speed trapping have been on the I20 corridor between Monroe and bossier. I didn’t know there were that many trooper vehicles in the whole of north La....

Hwy 190 in/near Basile has a bunch of signs on the side of the road that say "Speed Trap Area"
I don't know who put them there, but I am confident there is an interesting story associated with their presence.

They got Stallone in the 80s and if I’m not mistaken they framed the ticket in the old town hall.
I never heard that. Probably their biggest skin on the wall.

several years ago, got pulled over by Tensas SO doing about 100 on 605 in a friend's ferrari. Got a warning, no lie. Kind of rare to see that kind of car running between the corn rows I guess. I think the deputy wasn't sure if I was somebody that could cause him problems and he was playing it safe. He was real nice the whole time, let him sit in the car, we talked about it and all.

between Jacksonville, FL and Gainesville are three little speed trap towns, the worst being Waldo & Lawtey. The AAA actually bought a billboard warning motorists coming from J'ville that Lawtey was a speed trap ahead. The next billboard was the police chief saying how they "work hard to save lives".
