They did a special on Ferriday and their corrupt ways several years back on local news. Basically they would pull over whomever they chose and wouldn’t prove they were speeding.

I’ve never gone through Georgetown without seeing the cop. He’s ALWAYS there.

The whole city of Dry Prong is a scam to bilk money out of passersby. Not only the speed traps but the convenience stores there will gouge you if you don't pay attention to the price they are ringing up.

Not sure if it's true, but I heard about one of the cops pulling his own mom over for doing 34 in a 30.

I got one in Woodworth about 10 years ago. It was something silly, like 33 in a 30. Cop tells me I am also in a construction zone and I look around and see 2 orange cones (the state flower of LA I think) with no workers or equipment present. I give him my license/insurance and he looks at me funny and proceeds to keep my license and give me a slip of paper. I am like WTF? He says he is keeping it cause TX drivers never pay their tickets and I will get it back when I pay the fine. I was like frick that and followed him to the police station to pay this ridiculous ticket where there is a sign that says "In Woodworth, we give our own mothers speeding tickets".

I believe it. And there would be a cop behind the gas station in Clayton by the shady arse bridge crossing the Tensas River.

going through Clayton and Waterproof, I usually do 5 under the limit...however, they usually already have someone pulled over so you can see the blue lights a couple miles away on 65

yeah. My folks lived outside that shithole town for a bit. You had to drive through it to get to Alex. Dad always told me to keep it 5 under what ever the sign says and he took his trailer hitch off until he needed. The town's "traffic magistrate" is also the mayor that sets the budget. fricking corrupt jackass prick piece of shite cop doesnt even come close to describe these people

woodworth slammed in court

more on it

My only speeding ticket in my life was in:

Pine Prairie

Not long after I moved to the area and was going from Eunice to i-49 via Hwy 13.

After I told my wife I got a ticket she was like "that's the worst speed trap around here"

would have been nice to know before I left.

The cop literally pulled me over AT the 45 mph sign. I didn't even try to fight it.

port barre and krotz springs are so bad that before going fishing I changed my trailer lights out at 3 am to be sure they didn't have a reason to pull me over. My trailer isn't registered so it would have been a ticket before wheras most cops just say get that taken care of asap
