I have Otto to greet unwelcomed intruders. It's crazy because he is a huge teddy bear to family, friends, and welcomed guests.

Exactly, pick the one you like the least, because he's a little jerk, and leave him home alone with all sorts of home defense tools. Best case, he protects the house. Worst case, he was a little jerk anyway.

Haze, I researched this a while back after a relative of mine had his house burglarized. Apparently, the whole door and everything around it is just weak as hell. You can get pretty heavy doors and even buy reinforcements for existing doors, but then the deadbolt just breaks out of the casing, etc.
In order to do it right, you really have to tear the whole assembly out and build the framework out of 2x4 lumber instead of the pine trim that it is made of.
To answer your question directly, I would probably try to find a custom door manufacturer...I think Mississippi Iron Works does that kind of thing here locally.

haven't gotten into smart locks yet but I've been keeping an eye on these.
How do you get into your house if that malfunctions?

It's not about the door, it's about the jamb.
You can have a solid door, but how strong is the bolt?
You don't want anyone to kick in the door? Get a 2,000 pound mag lock, no one is getting in.
Whenever I go on a house and see one I always think"drug dealer" lol.

It's not your job to prevent burglaries at all, we need to teach people to stop stealing.

After I got robbed and nearly murdered at my former residence I installed one of these

Of course this only works for when you are home or if you have another entry point and you want to put this on say the front door.

It looks like it is only used when someone is inside of the house.

the door reinforcement combined with a security strike plate is about as good as you can do without replacing door. security plate uses long screws to get into the stud. only way to break that would be if deadbolt split out of door. that would be a shitty door.

Not to go all engineer up on anyone but ft/lbs isn't a unit of force. Perhaps you meant ft-lbs which is a unit of kinetic energy?

Do some research into reactive armor.

Take a look at these products. LINK
I sell to apartment complexes and recommend them to frequent break-in properties.
