OT in this thread: "Pish posh. I have no roaches in my home."

OT in thread on biggest roach you've ever seen: "I went into my kitchen one night and saw a German cockroach the size of a large crawfish."

I've found that if you name the roaches and talk to them like pets, they will make certain food items off-limits out of respect for you.

If I ever find myself bargaining with roaches over food, I'm checking into rehab.

I lived at The Jefferson apts about 15 years ago and had a rat that would come in and eat my roommates bread that he stored on top of the refrigerator. He was kind of a mascot that we let hang around until we moved out.

Was it a rat or a mouse?
A rat should have been throwing some in on rent.
A mouse, gets a pass.

That may be a little too local for this place. Is Cook's in south LA?

Underrated museum, btw.

One of the rent houses i lived in when i was really poor had two microwaves. one was broken and mounted above the stove so we had the working one on the counter. my drunk gf put a bunch of tacos in the broken microwave and forgot about them. a week later we couldnt figure out why the kitchen stank.

Have never thought of, or heard of, storing food in the microwave.

My friends must have had a rat problem. They would keep a plate with a white powder in the microwave. Guess it was rat posion.

If you have a roach problem that forces you to put food in the microwave, you need to fix the roaches, not where you put your food.

This reminds me of a patient who brought her own CPAP device to the hospital. Bio Med had to do an electrical inspection on it since it was outside equipement.

It was full of roaches... Amazing how nasty people are...
