No. That killed the Radio star.

Worst thing I ever did in my life was start smoking.

Best thing I ever did in my life is stop smoking.

Last pack I bought in Northern California was $9.75 and that was 16 years ago.

You say that, but I didn't see hardly any college kids smoking at the LSU game I went to this year. 10 years ago it was a smoke fest.

Glad this is a dying trend. Smoking is the dumbest fricking thing a person can do.

I have noticed a sharp downturn in smoking in the last 5 years.

Seriously? The big change happened 50 years ago. Smoking rates plummeted between around 1965 and 1980.

Government propaganda and legislation killed smoking, closer to 25 years ago than 5 years ago. And the fact that it obviously is a stupid thing to do to your health.

Was standing behind a smoker at the store & it cost her $62 plus tax for a carton. Expensive habit. But for most educated people, there is a boat load of medical information out there now, as opposed to back in Opey's days, that prove just how deadly a habit it is. And as I discovered in college when my then woman smoked, it was like kissing an ash tray.

Cancer

My dad passed away on 2/27 of small cell lung cancer due to smoking.

He started when he was in his early 20's. It was socially acceptable and we didn't know what we know now about how harmful it is. You'd have to be an idiot to take up cigs, cigars, vaping, etc these days knowing what we know about all of it.

I find this to be untrue. I know hardly anyone that is my age that is "a smoker." Plenty will smoke at the bar, but smoking as in being addicted and smoking througout the day is very rare in my experience.

Smoking in the USA is nearly dead in most places, but go to Europe and it's alive and well.

Go to Italy or Switzerland and you'll notice that almost everyone smokes. Same is true in many places in the UK and Ireland.

There is nothing wrong with ripping a heater when you're drinking and/or gambling heavily

Sorry to hear man. Seriously. I've been e-knowing you for a good while and always thought the best of you and hearing about you with your dad over the past year I can tell it's taken a toll.

I lost my mom about 18 months ago and still think of her a dozen times a day. I'm sending good vibes to you bro

I went to NYC a few years ago and was floored at the amount of smokers, I felt like I was the only one without a cigarette.

Stuck my head in one of those convenience shops and a pack was $10+

Former smoker here, 30 years old, quit when I was 24 or 25. Felt like shite all of the time plus a pack is $6-7 now.

The outrage over second hand smoke killed smoking in the USA. Nothing else.

As I get older, I see less and less smokers. I think it's I'm hanging out with more white collar types.

They're about $12 a pack here. Sure doesn't stop food stamp dependent people from maintaining the habit.
