I know smart, respectable people who thoroughly enjoyed the show, but I couldn’t take more than a few minutes and had a hard time imaging anyone with an IQ over 65 thinking it was funny. But I think that of all the “reality” shows.

It’s a good thing I’m not a network executive. If someone pitched me the show, I would have run them off and missed out on $$$.

Television entertainment in general baffles me. I don't get why people watch any of it.

Screenplays, dramas and sitcoms were bad enough, then they save money by hiring amateur actors.

Though the DD folks had a lot of experience prior to that show, it's still silly fake drama.

Nah Arkansas or Mississippi. Texas wants nothing to do with that region. Texas wants to be South LA not old south Northern LA.

Yeh right, I said east Texas, not Houston. Shreveport is basically Little Dallas, bookoo people in East tx drive in to work in Shreveport. shite a large percentage of the town I grew up in works in West and East Texas on 14/14 hitches for half the year. Just because you're from a suburb of Houston or some metroplex does not mean that you are in tune with the culture of rural East Tx or North/Central La . This is coming from someone who's entire family is from South La as far back as they can trace it in America, I was just lucky enough to be raised up in CenLa.

But why is a texan even interjecting themself into a discussion of La? Louisiana is Louisiana, all that divide is just friendly banter amongst Louisianians. Stemming from back in the day where the poor rural North La folks felt abandoned by the political elite class of New Orleans. While still somewhat true today, its basically just typical geographical rivalry at this point.

It pains me to agree with you.

But I do.

And you’re being downvoted . Must be a A LOT of skeletons in closets for such a lukewarm take to be so strongly opposed.

I agree with this. Living in DFW metroplex I’ve met more people from North LA then I’ve met born and raised in the dfw area. It truly amazed me when I first moved here.

It is all staged. You have no idea what you are talking about.
I’m crying laughing at this because, I built the board we tied the bullfrogs legs to.

And I know the guy who wrote the permit. So laugh all you want. I don't know what point you are trying to make, either.

I think, like every other reality show, the truth is exaggerated and at times maybe even made up.

With that said, I do think the idea of Uncle Si is kind of funny.
