What do Louisiana people think of the Duck Dynasty crew?

Are they as authentic as the show tries to depict them? Or is it mostly a facade like most reality shows? You’d think people that live in Louisiana would know the real story is why I asked.

The only episode I saw was when the crazy uncle ate racoon turds. His eyesight was bad and he thought they were wild berries..

You're getting downvoted, but it's true. Anyone with half a brain knows that most of the show was just "made for TV".
Hell, I know for a fact they got a permit to release African Bullfrogs for the golf course frogging episode.
If you've ever watched a Duck Commander DVD, you can tell they just ampted up the personalities for DD. Si and Jace do argue all the time, but those guys are hardly stupid. I believe Si is the only one that doesn't have a college degree in the entire bunch. Martin was a wildlife biologist before going to work for DC.
Plus, not a single one of those guys actually has a hand in making duck calls anymore. Probably didn't before the show either.

I doubt anyone in that room is making calls. They each have their own shite going on since after the show, cookbooks, YouTube channels, etc.

I’ve seen clips of it. It’s obviously scripted the way they were talking and acting. How are they in real life? Who the hell knows...
Ever seen that pawn show in Vegas? So fake. Most of those items are probably scripted in the show. The head bald guy is like “you never know what’s coming through that door”. Well, you kind of do if you read the script.

Phil has definitely made it clear how he is in real life. Phil is about as transparent about what he believes and his faith as can be. He's openly discussed all of the awful things he has done in his life and how Jesus changed him.

I believe this.
Also, we have watched the show some. It seems to be just about them deciding to do something and then they do it. I'm sure some of it's scripted, but a lot of it seems to be just them interacting with each other.
I mean, they seem like overall good people.
