Things are improving. You need investment, which is happening.

You must be pretty young. Downtown BR is quite healthy compared to say 10 years ago.

And tenfold going back another ten years.

In the mid 90's it was not even dead, it was non-existent. Was back around there in 05 and was shocked at all the stuff there.

Guess how I know you never went to Downtown BR back in the late 90's / early 00's

Where will downtown St George be?

The Mall of LA?
The Mall will be in BR.

Downtown SG will be the Target on Siegen Lane.

Nothing. I'm not going to do the following:

1. Drive further away from the house.
2. Pay to park.
3. Eat worse food than in other parts of town.
4. I always feel like I pay more for less on drinks.
5. Possibly get a DUI from the constant checkpoints.

In summary frick downtown.

Passenger train between BR and NOLA

Because so many people from NOLA would go there to eat and drink.

I like going downtown in Baton Rouge a few nights a month, usually Thursday-Saturday, and it's lively enough. Give it another shot. Even Coconut Grove was pretty dead when I went out on Wednesday nights in college.

Downtown Atlanta is the same way. It's hit or miss anywhere. I struggled to find a decent place to eat then drink when staying by Centennial Park. It's a Wednesday Free! Stop being a bitch. Text me btw

Heading to Norcross tomorrow for business. Anything worthwhile to do there besides the Pink Pony and The Good Time Oasis?

Is there a boardwalk or room for a boardwalk on the river? It seems something like a boardwalk park people could get out and walk, run, and host events downtown would be a great asset to downtown BR. You have to give people a good reason to go down there.

Also, are there any condos or good places to live? I know Spanish Town is close, so that'd be good to draw those people out.

Let someone else besides those douchbags from "lasting concepts" start a business there.

That name is funny now since they split and divided the company in two.

Tear down every piece of shite house along the Nicholson corridor between LSU and Downtown to make students/parents with $$$ want to go that direction instead of the other.

Agreed. Clean up the area between LSU and downtown and more LSU students could move that way

If you move Exxon USA somewhere else, that's a start.
