Collecting evidence to get the cop arrested and get justice is doing something about it.

You're still my favorite alter.

clearly you don't have it being so weak you wont even say anything.
Maybe I don't. And I didn't really mean I'd not say anything when it goes to court, more of an I'm not physically getting involved.
I don't know. It is a weird thing to think about. One of those situations where you don't actually know what'd you do until you're there in the present. Hopefully none of us ever are.

Tough call all around. Family member = for sure intervene. Stranger, mehhhh.
I do think, however, we have a civic duty to step in for things like this. I believe had the filmers advanced on the knee cop, both cops would've gotten up which would relieve the pressure on the dead guys neck.

There is 100% no chance my brother would end up in that situation

Absolutely! It's been a decent discussion so far. Better believe it's coming.

Unfortunately in this case it didn’t, but it possibly could give the officers second thought on their handing of the situation knowing it is being documented by another party
Either way, 2 murders isn’t any better than 1 murder

If it was my brother, after pleading with the officer to no avail, I'm sure I would have tackled the cop to relieve the pressure off my family members neck and just endured whatever beating/shooting the cops gave me.
You wouldn’t have done shite!

Copyright infringement. They already have a BLM that hates cops.

I don’t talk to the police, so my options would be quite limited.

Film it.
But instead of starting the film at the point LE reacts, film the entire encounter and post the whole video so the average couch juror/judge and make a truly informed decision on the events that transpired.
As to this
Be careful because there may be other concerned citizens who see a police officer being attacked and come to his/her aid.

Good question. The easy thing to do is walk away and not get involved. On the other hand, getting involved could quickly place you in the same situation. The issue here is common sense being used if you are an officer. Anyone with a brain knows how easily you can cut someone’s oxygen off by applying pressure to the neck. Driving your knee into someone’s throat while they beg you to stop because they can’t breathe is absolutely inexcusable.
Edit: if you go tackling a cop, go ahead and prepared to get shot

One of the Carolina's or Virginia's has as a part of the state constitution the right to resist arrest. May have gotten changed though as the reason it made news was the shooting of a cop or 2.
It is a natural reaction after all to resist restraint.
Uniform or not, if someone grabs your arm/wrist the natural instinct is to pull away.
