And I think this is where are disagreement comes about. I don’t think all cops are bad. I think they have shitty jobs and in split second decisions (in this case 7-8 minutes) they make bad decisions.

But I’m not going to follow a mob and say all cops are pigs. I’m also not going to buy into the narrative that more blacks are killed by white cops when the data shows, in fact, that more blacks are killed by black cops.

Dude, get a grip! Absolutely no one in this thread is saying all cops are bar or racist. All cops aren't racist, all white people aren't racist. We get that. BLM is based off of a fallacy. We know that.

None of those points have anything to do with this case. Those police officers murdered that man. All cops are not bad, but they are bad cops, and they should go to prison. I don't know or care to speculate if they're racist. But they are murderers, which is 100x worse than being a simple racist.

I would say that up to now, any of these BLM videos, I've watched what happened and said I better wait to get the rest of the story before condemning the cops. And in all of those, there was always something underlying that cleared the police.
Here, I don't need to wait. What that cop did by keeping the entire weight of his body on his knee while pressing it into the man's neck for 8 minutes was murder.

Would like to see a video of that POS officer and the other three getting chocked out in a general population prison cell.

Not necessarily...if someone had the nuts to knock that officer on his fat arse, even just long enough for the man to catch a breath or two, the details could be ironed out later in court but the man would probably still be alive.

I think this is true. But you saw the cop pull out his mace, or something, once the crowd starting getting too close. Plus the fat China man was standing guard, so you probably would have wound up in the same boat as the dude on the ground.

This- don't be a dumbass and you will have no trouble from the cops!
Just don't get how people are so quick to jump to the defense of some criminal or deviant and condemn the cops! If it was up to me, cops would have the right to club the shite out of anyone that committed a crime!

Great question OP. Would love to hear some actual officers respond to it.

What would you advise a bystander to do in such cases?

What would you do if you saw police recklessly killing your child, parent, etc?

There is a cop or two that actually respond. Not sure you're gonna like what they said.

True but whomever stepped forward to save the man, their "loss" would have been a win for the deceased man thus a loss for the cops in this case. Defeating the cops in that fashion was achievable...just that nobody stepped forward unfortunately.

I think this would depend on how you define defeat. Putting myself in that situation, I have to wonder at what point in the video you could defeat the cops. First of all, you may never make it to the cop with the knee on his neck. The Asian cop may have been a tougher opponent than some seem to think. So no defeat there.

Assuming you would succeed in tackling the cop with the knee on his neck, the question becomes when? Before he stops breathing and talking? The guy would probably live to see another day. If that's your definition of "defeating the cops" I agree. But you would get your arse whipped or possibly killed, you would be charged with a crime and, since the guy didn't die, the cops would just walk. I promise you that. His death was what sealed the deal.

If you wait until he quits breathing, and then act, he probably dies anyway and you get your arse whipped or maybe shot. The cops may eventually be punished, but he may still die and you may die.

The video of him being killed accomplishes (you would hope) the same thing without the arse whipping or getting shot. It's sad, but the truth is that this guy was an unwilling martyr. We can only hope he didn't die in vain. No man deserves to die for forgery or any other non violent crime.

Read the thread.

I perused it from the start and don't recall anyone identifying themselves as a LEO and addressing the questions I asked above.

No idea what I would do. I think if you happened upon it you would initially ask yourself is this really happening. And the officer could have stopped at any point before killing the guy (which you suspect he would do but in this case never did).

My apologies. The guy supporting the cop in this thread isn't actually a cop. The cop that was responding was in the actual thread of the killing.
