Lachlan Murdoch just bought himself a heapin’ helpin’ of a Bel-Air mansion and estate: The Wall St. Journal reports that the co-chairman of News Corp has paid about $150 million for the estate called Chartwell – better known as home to the Clampetts on The Beverly Hillbillies. The purchase sets a new high-water mark for residential sales price in the Los Angeles area, and is the second most expensive sale ever in the country, according to data from appraiser Jonathan Miller quoted in the WSJ article. News Corp owns Dow Jones & Co., publisher of The Wall Street Journal.

Do you thin he paid the full 6% commission.
Or did they negotiate 6% on the first 75 million and 4% on the remainder.

You have to have a full crew just for maintenance and upkeep. I know he's rich and just pays people to do it, but damn that still has to be a headache.

Too bad it isn't in BR, the assessor would probably drop the assessed value.

If y'all ever bored at work and wanna wormhole it, check out Dallas or Harris county Cad(prop tax search).

Search for well-known people like Mark Cuban, Ross Perot or Jerry Jones in Dallas. Or pull up a gmaps of a fancy neighborhood and then enter in the address of a mansion on the CAD Site. The property tax some of these people pay is frickin ABSURD.

Dallas Cad Property Search

Cuban pays 440k a year on his 19mm mansion.

Perot's 21mm mansion runs his family(he's dead now obvi) $485k a year in taxes.

The secret to starting your hedge trimmer. 3 pumps on the bulb, couple pulls on full choke, switch to run, squeeze throttle, pull a couple times to hear the pop, release throttle, pull and it starts, idles, and then squeeze the throttle several times to rev it up.
