I have family in Montgomery that is a part of the REC. If I remember correctly, it seemed as if you had to know someone to get an invite. They do well for themselves and have had season tickets for years. I wouldn’t say that they’re loaded, just retired now and have the time to do the things they like. I think they go to all of the events signing day, maybe a practice or two. I got a picture from them at an event this past summer with Trent Richardson.

I’m partial to the TBS-Braves broadcasts. I think that TBS was the only channel my grandparents got in the 80s.
Lots of great memories walking to their house after school and having the TV on TBS the whole evening. Mid/late 80s Braves were terrible, but I also watched my fair share of Andy Griffith, Beverly Hillbillies, & Sanford and Son too. All part of the experience.

If he’s healthy and it is a confidence issue, I want him to play and air it out and hopefully get some confidence back. Hopefully he can connect on a couple of deep passes. He has seemed a little off to me since he took that shot in the Mizzou game.

Every 4A-6A school in Kansas makes the “playoffs”. There are only 32 teams in each classification, so it’ll end the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Teams will play their seasons and week 9 is seeded based on results. There will be a few 8-0 teams hosting 0-8 teams tonight.
8-man through 3A still play by the traditional playoff format. There are a lot more of those teams in the state.

I dunked about 4 or 5 times in warmups before intramural games out at McConnell a hundred years ago. Couldn’t ever make the stars align to throw one down in a game though. The last time I tried out there, I tore like 3 calluses off my hand and decided that was enough.

Our crew usually officiates a CVD game every year. They’re combined and they split their home schedule between Cedar Vale and Dexter. We had them in a blowout/halftime game earlier this year. Love officiating those 8-man games in SE Kansas.

My first duty assignment was McConnell AFB. There was a sewage lift station on base that had an in-line pH probe that we had to calibrate every so often.
We were called out by the water department from the civil engineering squadron on base to let us know that they were getting ready to pull and clean the probe, and asked us if we could calibrate.
I showed up before they did and watched pull the probe and it had a condom stuck on it. Fella from the water shop pulled the condom off of the probe with no gloves on. I offered him some gloves and said he didn’t need them. We stood around bs’ing while waiting on the probe to do its thing and I watched this dude reach into a pouch of Redman and grab himself a chew.
I almost lost it. I finished up calibrating it and watched him put that probe back in with no gloves again. I walked off before he had a chance to try to shake my hand.
