But they scratch sooo easy. And break easily. My kid is destroying it.

Get the electrical outlets that also have USB ports on them.

You're never going to use the space you think you need. Go smaller and buy a yacht.

Perm, would be for our bathroom closet, or the separate room for the commode, or for daddy's man room. Should we ever build a house that is.
They have their place but don't let those little frickers touch your pocket doors.

I'd say avoid pocket doors unless it's a door you want open more often than not. The hardware isn't as easy to use and most don't lock very well. Even the better hardware. Also, over time the tracks can get dirty or loose and half of that is hidden in your wall. Finally, you can't put a plug or switch where the door slides into the wall with a 2x4 frame. My 2 cents on pocket doors.

power outlets on seperate circuits for christmas and exterior lighting
wire the house for speakers and a centralized sound system for stereo
a nice security system with video and voice stations
power for exterior sprinkler systems is one people forget about
power outlets in attic for when things need to be replaced or repaired up there

It doesn't seem like much but recessed outlets make all the difference in the world when it comes to furniture placement.

Extra outlets, inside and out. Wire for networking/media, especially if you have smart TV's. If you are the handy type then plan storage in the garage and have a utility sink installed. If you like using plenty of ice, get a dedicated ice-maker put in the kitchen. If y'all cook a lot at home then think about things like a pot filling spigot at the range, spending extra for better built-in appliances, under-cabinet lighting, and make sure some of the kitchen and island outlets have the built-in USB charging ports. In fact, think hard about that side of the kitchen counter area that seems to be where car keys/cell phones/fitbits/tablets get dropped off and put a 4-port USB oulet right there. Don't put carpet anywhere.

What do you mean don't put carport anywhere? No carport at all? Reason being?

Will the new house have natural gas?
If so, get a natural gas burner and a long gas line. Hook straight up to the house for crawfish, crabs, turkey frying, etc.

Yes we are doing that already. Hook up for Generac generator gas lanterns

Pot filler over the cooktop

What's up with this?
My guess is the new styles break down easier so you need a set working while the other one is being repaired.
Buy speed queen old style washers. They are the bomb.

pot filler is amazingly handy, security cameras are by far the best money I spent on mine.
