I had 3 of my cars that were and now my new 3 are not.

It’s a pain to get all 3 done.

You do realize any doctor can write a script for dark tint right?

Ive got my tint exemption paperwork right next to my weed card, in front of my pit bull's emotional support registration, under my handicap parking tag.

The type of car makes a huge difference as well. A single cab truck can take 5% and still look light where a big suburban with 5% all the way around looks blacked out.

My windows are done at 20% and do t look terribly dark, but I always pop the sunroof shade open if I’m getting pulled over. It lets more light inside the car and makes the tiny look lighter.

No one is checking
It’s on the companies that install to follow the law but I’m sure people have side businesses to get around it
Police could give you a ticket if they pull u over for something else
Inspection stickers could fail you too but also ways around that

Friend,

Illegal tinting is a danger to society and I encourage all law enforcement officers to enforce the laws in place and all good citizens to contact their state representatives to encourage stricter laws. Visibility of what is ahead in a road is vital to road safety. Blocking the sight line of drivers behind and beside you leads to more wrecks, more deaths, and higher insurance rates.

Yours,

The ones with it on the front windshield are the idiots.

but 1/4 of drivers with covered license plates should be pulled over and ticketed all day every day.

LA law is too strict but the gross violations are a danger.

Friend,

Skin cancer is a killer. My body doesn’t belong to me, you, or any legislative body.
My body is the temple of the Lord where the Holy Spirit resides. With a strong consciousness of my own moral goodness or blameworthiness, I shall protect thee.

Peace be with you,

Tank

Since it’s summer in Louisiana it should be a safety violation to not have at least a 20% full wrap.

I have had illegal tint on several cars for years.

Never had an issue. I think law enforcement does not give a shite unless they encounter a bad egg, then hit him with a ticket.

The laws should be changed. It makes a huge difference.

You want to know how you tell the LA law is bullshite? Read the actual Statute. You should have quoted it in the OP.

The frick heads that wrote the Statute EXEMPTED any elected official. So the people who wrote and passed the law exempted themselves. Much like the US Congress exempted themselves from Obama Care and insider stock trading.

When the people making laws exempt themselves from it, it's time to get a rope and find a tall tree. If it's so damn dangerous to have tinted windows, how come a City Councilman, Judge, DA and the police can all have them?

The inspection sticker and vehicle plate registrations are stupid. Re register a plate on a car I’ve been owned for xx years ?
