Right? Catholic Charities here worked with families that came here through legal asylum and the proper channels.

I'm Catholic. He's not really leading me. He has little impact on my life.

CNN has overrated his connection to Francis. They agreed on some things but from my knowledge he’s not near as liberal as Francis.

Yeah man Catholic Charities started under Biden, and before them NO ONE entered the country illegally.

The Pope’s involvement/control over Catholic Charities is non-existent.

You’re telling me the pope doesn’t have control over the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops?

Any ideas on Leo's views on the Latin mass? I hope he enthusiastically endorses it.

Yeah, the pope should be instrumental in helping illegals violate the laws of sovereign nations

Agreed.

I certainly hope the pope doesn’t give a frick about the laws of china or saudi arabia or anything like that.

Any relation to the Prevost families in Dulac. There is a Prevost Cemetery there.

Bruh y’all need to relax on the politics. The pope has no power in a countries policies. If countries are letting in immigrants it was happening already with or without the popes approval.

Agree and disagree on this. certainly makes it more palatable to those allowing a free boarder when the pope approves it. A ton of people from Mexico are pretty staunch catholics.

Joe Biden doesn’t know what fricking day it is. The politicization in this thread is ridiculous and I say that as a conservative.

Picking the name Leo leads me to believe that he may be framing his papacy in the context of social justice.

I do believe he will center up on many key issues and at the very least, I do not expect him to push more liberal than Francis.
