Well, you won't hear them because I don't know if anybody even tracks them.

I blame democrats and female voters. Education is largely their domain. They have taken a functional institution and ruined it. Instead of holding people accountable for failure, they would create a litany of excuses for everyone involved and place blame on everyone but the responsible parties.

Raise standards. Go back to physical media like books, pencils and paper. The brain forms connections in a variety of ways with physical media. Writing out the words and doing it well are important elements of learning. It's a form of reinforcement that does not get enough attention. It's why "showing your work" is important in math. It's not enough to get the correct answer. I need to see one's logic. Because a logical and well-functioning mind is capable of learning.

"That's not good enough. Do it again"! Kids need to hear that. Just making an attempt is not enough. It's good that they are trying, but trying isn't a goal in itself. It is merely the first step to success and eventually mastery.

If you played football at Neville and black you didn’t have to even go to class. Especially if it was a black teacher, hell most of them couldn’t read.

They did a disservice to the black community in the 90s and I’m sure nothing has changed. Now said players are gangbanging or dead.

The world needs ditch diggers too. We can’t all be highly educated. Someone’s got to clean the shitters.

Being able to read and actually reading are 2 different issues. The number of people who admit, as if it is a badge of honor, that they are not readers is unimaginable to me. The 1000s of men I have known in my life, people I have worked with, knew socially, or I knew more than just casually who do not read anything that they did not have to read is staggering to me. I can't imagine not reading for pleasure. Reading for fun has been dropping since the 40s in the US but it has fallen off a cliff in the last 25 years. I can no more imagine being an adult, having the ability to read and not enjoying doing so.
