The doc knew for certain it was a bacterial infection and not a virus? Or is he another of those quacks that indiscriminately prescribe antibiotics?

well for a virus that has a 99.5 percent survival rate, you don't need to be a bad arse to beat it. but if you are controlled by the government or by the liberal media, then yes you better go and get your fake shot to go along with the fake virus.

That’s why you don’t eat or drink after someone and you wash your hands frequently. Things you should be doing anyways.

It's almost as if - get this - we were lied to and manipulated for the past two years and no one believes them anymore.

Good luck selling their climate hysteria before the '24 election. I can't wait to hear this round of government funded liars' tall tales.

I had covid actually for the first time 3 weeks ago

It actually really frickin sucked. Sleeping 12-15 hours and I still have what I’d equate to a severe sinus infection

But covid itself was genuinely awful

That said, I’m vaccinated, so that’s fricking great. Didn’t help with shite.

This has been the policy of a lot of GPs throughout the pandemic. They referred all Covid and potential Covid cases to minute clinics. Same with the vaccine. They didn’t have the capacity to handle that increase in patients. A lot of them have kept to this style of policy.

What plans do you expect me to change for the fricking sniffles oh great omnipotent one?

If the plans are normal or easy to reschedule, try to do so. If they are special or difficult to reschedule, it makes sense to power through.

This should be pretty easy to figure out for anyone who is less self absorbed than a petulant toddler.

I posed this in another board, my daughter had 4 kids in her class show positive on home kits. 3 of them had strep when they went to the doctor.

I always felt the home kits were nonsense and randomly popped positive.

Can you imagine having strep but thinking you have covid so you don't treat the strep?

This is EXACTLY how we should deal with any sickness when being around other people. ALWAYS give the other person the opportunity to decide how they want to handle their own health. No lies, no mandatory restrictions, just courteous human nature.

my son came down with something pretty bad last week. lethargic, 102 fever, and sore throat that was almost black and covered with puss pockets.

he's 16 so still goes to a pediatrician. she looked at the throat and said we can do strep test and a mono test? i said sure.

she said "i'm not recommending it... but we can also do a covid test." and rolled her eyes.

i said "we're good" and she just said thank God. if we tested and it was i'd say stay home till the fever is gone for 24 hours and move on with your life.

Quack? Maybe there are other things that led him to his diagnosis.

Just getting over my 3rd go 'round as well. It wasn't much and I wouldn't have even tested for it if I wasn't supposed to travel and go into the office this week. Took a home test out of precaution and it came back positive. My only symptoms now are clearing out of my chest. Unlike the first two infections, I never had the fatigue and only had a low grade fever one night. It's just a mild cold now.

Totally onboard with not pushing vaccines. And totally onboard for not doing broad testing for everyone that comes in.

But if you do have covid, why would you not want them to test and give instructions accordingly? I'd expect the same with the flu or any other virus going around. I had it a month ago. Went to the doctor purely to confirm it wasn't something else that could maybe be treated with antibiotics, possibly shortening my time in bed. Tested for strep because I had a bad sore throat. Wasn't strep, so she said let's try covid because she's seen it manifesting in the throat lately. Tested positive. Now I know it would be completely useless to waste antibiotics or other meds "just in case". We knew what we were dealing with and knew the best course of action was just riding it out for another day or two.
