Watched SNL for the 1st time in years and...

Seriously, watched because I figured Will Farrell would make it bearable ... comedy is only funny when there is some semblance of truth, and you are willing to push the limits. If you are trying to be funny without offending, you are not funny. Carry on

SNL was awesome 5 or 6 years ago. But when Armisen, Samberg, Hader, and Wiig left, I left along with them. The new cast is abysmal.

Anytime I've turned it on, it's nothing but politics.
The Weekend Report used to be funny. It's almost nothing but "Trump this," and "Trump that".
Who the jokes are about doesn't matter one bit to me. But they aren't funny, and it's nothing but politics. They can't come up with anything else.
ETA: And the new cast definitely sucks. I can't think of a single one that is actually funny, other than Bobby. And even he isn't that great.

I am not saying I think SNL is funny now, but I have heard the same phrase about every 5-7 years since I was 8-9, watching reruns of the late 70s/early 80's SNL.
...it's still on the air, though. Just saying...
