As someone with degrees, let me say with HEAVY emphasis in my voice

not having a degree is not the same thing as being uneducated

As another OT’er with multiple degrees, I’ll add

Having degrees is not the same thing as being educated.

Honestly one of the least impressive accomplishments in America now.

Is it? Is that why 34.98% of Americans over 25 had a bachelor's degree in 2018? Less than 27% in Louisiana? Giving them out like candy I guess.

when people start talking about college grads having student loans, they're just telling on themselves for being dumb and poor

I've had the same garbage men for like 15 years. Now I know why.

CEO Jim Fish isn’t much of a problem solver then. Assign those $60k MBA’s to a training schedule that involves driving a garbage truck in Houston for the first 6 months.

i have a degree but now work in a field where it's not necessary (and make more money than when i was working in in the field of my degree). going to college and getting a degree is way better than not and to suggest otherwise is a massive cope.

My father-in-law dropped out of h.s. and joined the army. He worked construction and had a high level of understanding of metallurgy, welding, and design. With no h.s. diploma, he retired at 77 as a high level employee of a huge construction company. He wanted to retire at 65, but they gave him offers to stay that he could not refuse.

He is a super smart guy.

You people that don’t have a degree or don’t use it sure do like to remind people how much more money they make while working 80 hours a week and having no life

Degrees are pretty pointless unless you are in a stem field.

I don't know why this is so hard to grasp. And I have a business degree from UGA.

The only thing my degree shows is that I could finish what I started when I was a teenager (I graduated in 3 years).

All of the “trades” should be paying enough to lure good workers. But everyone wants to be VP of marketing or finance at Chase, and willing to go in debt and be unemployed in that fruitless effort.

Europe has it right as far as their view of tradesmen careers vs US.

Wait, what?! I’ve been told by the lsu and auburn alumni’s that Bama is the only school that has trash sidewalkers.
