UWK reached out to Walker High’s Principal Jason St. Pierre and Livingston Parish School Superintendent Joe Murphy for responses to this report. As of this report, neither have responded.

I've had both of these men as my Principal/Vice Principal at one time of my life and another. I've always thought both were great role models. Now, I'm not issuing judgement on this incident. I'm just stating that my personal experience with them were that they're good men, and everyone at the school when I was there liked them.

St. Pierre definitely could've over reached here, just adding my opinion of someone who knew him.

Hard to really say what was going on here without seeing the actual video but that mom seems like she wants to be the cool mom so bad

if her daughter's accomplishments are the barometer we need more " cool " moms like her.

Same principal who thought highly of Casen Carver and Kaivon Washington.

quote:

Walker high’s principal is AWFUL. About two years ago a student of Walker high that was a youth leader made an awful song mocking the death of my brother and threatening to kill the boys on Denhams football team over a FOOTBALL GAME. “the sun left him dead.” Let me tell you, this boy and others in the video received no disciplinary action at all. They said they could not do anything because this was not done at the school. But yet Kaylee Timonet gets stripped of her scholarship due to a video of her dancing on private property OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL??? Everyone that has made her feel shameful of herself should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. I could not imagine being an adult making a child feel bad about themselves for literally being a teenager and dancing. Also let it be known that this guy is in jail for first degree rape charges against Madison Brooks now.

What a cheesedick. This guy looks exactly how I’d expect for Walker’s principal. Dude better have enjoyed the power trip while it lasted bc his days are limited

He's been there like 20 years. Might be tough to get rid of him.

Getting a major black eye for the school district and a potential huge lawsuit may be enough to do it.

According to Timonet, the principal told Kaylee that her actions went against the Bible, and questioned her faith.
This is a public high school, so what does the Bible have to do with anything in the story that would be a reason for what happened?

Well, the other side was reached out to for comment and they declined. Should the student’s side not be heard because the other side doesn’t want to speak?

The school or School board cant comment to the media about one of their students. That will get them sued before anything else. This girl and her mom and the reporter twisted this story to make it sound much worse than it was.

You guys have no clue about how LP works. St. Pierre is not going anywhere, and while what he did here was fricking stupid, it’s actually a parish that will tell him to stop being a dumbass but not end his career.

Most of you around here claim the world is soft and people are too quick to be offended. Guy is strong in his beliefs and he isn’t loved by students, but the school is innovative and gives students a LOT of options for skill trades that’s not traditional college path.

He ain’t fricking perfect and he stepped in shite on this, but goddamn, reading this thread wanting to end the guys career is fricking pathetic. Y’all are the biggest bitches.

Remains to be seen.

The girl and her mother do have the advantage on media access but I would think facts would support most if not all of her argument.

Was she removed as an SGA officer?

Was her scholarship application withdrawn by the school rather than submitted?

Are there mechanisms in place for why either should have happened and do they have documentation that it was done properly?

My guess is that the first two happened and that they played loose and fast with the third. And facts should back up whether the first two happened.

Seems like this dude is way out of line.

The mom must be trashy as hell though.

Not that I particularly care for twerking, but I’m just consistently amazed at how often people at schools, law enforcement, public agencies, etc. just don’t understand the law.

The public school student was not at a school function, and your stated reason for disciplining a public school student as an action of your public school position was religious in nature.

Maybe the principal should sit in on Walker High’s civics class a few times. Might help him with that pesky Bill of Rights he’s stomping all over. I’ll help him… he can start right at the beginning, with amendment ONE.

So stupid.
