By the end of the year the kid will get their spot back, and they should. Christians aren't as good at canceling as they used to be. Someone will stand up to them and get it overturned.
I hate people like the principal so much. Self righteous pricks.

What shirts?

Do you let your kids twerk around other kids?
I can't even imagine the fallout of our principal knowing what we did at school related things like poster parties and pep rallies, much less a non school sponsored event

Must be nice to have grown up in a generation that pre-dates cell phones and social media.
Get the fk off of your high horse. Teens do far dumber shite than twerk.
This girl was railroaded, plain and simple, by a zealot.

Name a better combo than being enraged about everything and Christians.

Did she twerk? I thought she was dancing behind another girl who was “twerking”.

There was a social media post that went viral in my community a couple weeks ago from a parent that "just wanted to have a chat" about their kids' repeated behavior issues. "He's just very talkative." It ended with the parents being banned from campus.
The entire community jumped on the school, media was contacted, etc.
Let's just say the incident went away real quick when the truth was exposed. The kid is a terror and the parents threw chairs at the meeting.
Until we hear the school's side of this - I say we hold back our outrage.

you aren't wrong that the LP is quick to be wrong, but there isn't a whole lot of wiggle room in this one..
Its going to be he said vs she said..
worst that this principal gets out of the deal is a promotion to the Main office, where all the offenders work

Twisted some details and left out some. You think this Kiran reporter is going to tell the whole boring story or the one that will stir up the most ? And do you think the mom even told her the whole story? The school isnt going to comment on individual kids behavior situations. Pretty sure thats illegal.
My understanding of it from some friends at Walker are the student government group was a hand picked group of kids with high moral standards to represent the school and meet regularly for that purpose. not the typical class president popularity contest. The group signs a pledge not to drink, do drugs, etc. This girl and her mom went out and threw a keg party. Not so much her dancing, but underage drinking and throwing the keg party. Im assuming the principal had reccomended her for a scholarship that was awarded based on moral character and such, and he decided to withdraw his letter of reccomendation.
And of course the Christianity part is being overblown because St Pierre is an outspoken Christian and reporters love to latch onto that. He didnt go all fire and brimstone on her like this article says.
Principal probably could have handled it better or more descreetly, but he's not getting fired over this. Sounds like the mom is the one making it a bigger deal.
