Biased much?
So you tell me what he has done to improve the state. Aside from CC, what big things has he gotten done? The legislature under him has been a disaster, he still cant get his head out the trial lawyer associations arse. Name some things the has done....

and economic development looks good.
If you are referring to the recent corporate announcements of big companies locating in LA, he has had nothing to do with those. These things take years to come into fruition. He just happened to be the one who got to stand at the podium and announce them.

who was the last truly conservative Governor that wasnt a corrupt piece of crap in LA? I'm 47 and cant really think of one. Maybe Foster?
thoughts on gov Landry to this point

what are your thoughts up to this point in his administration? I really can't think of anything significant he has done. It seems like all he does is pander to get national media attention and hang out with his trial lawyer buddies. His latest RTO ruling timing is a bit puzzling. And no I'm not a state worker nor do i work remote. I thought I remembered part of the reason state workers in the BR area were put on remote was due to the upcoming interstate construction? Has that been cancelled?

re: Ranking the 5 best cities in Louisiana for raising families or retirement
Posted by bonescanner on 4/23/25 at 11:58 am
I dont think you can judge with both retirement and family. If raising a family still then schools, crime, and employment are major factors. For retirement you arent worried about the schools or employment. Opens up alot of quiet rural towns that you wouldnt look at with a family.

my Dad passed when I was 20. Ive now been alive nine years longer without him than I had him. Weird that I track that but it just seems unbelievable. I do still remember and do all the things he taught me when I cook or work on stuff and the memories come flooding back after all these years. Mom left us in 2019. It seems weird to not have either of them.
re: Stores that don’t open on time

a couple of minutes late doesnt bother me. But some of these places I cant understand how they stay in business. Last year I was having a couple of workgroup meetings every week that were starting at 630am. Several times I swung into the Mary Lee's in Walker to grab breakfast for the team and they just didnt show up to open the store at all that day. I can see once if someone is sick or something since its a small business, but I'm told he does that at least once or twice a week. Must be a good margin on donuts if you dont have to worry about opening your business.
re: Pope Francis has Died

Not gonna celebrate the death of any human, but its time for the Vatican to move back to a Pope that steers the church back to its foundation. As one of thousands of Catholics that have left the church I would love to see it return to its roots.

re: Driver dies after trailer hitch falls off truck, goes through his windshield

I was following behind a truck that had some plastic tables in the back on i-12. His strap broke and one of the tables flew in the air. I wasnt able to avoid it in traffic and it came about 12 inches through my windshield then blew over the top. Scary shite when it happens to youl.

re: Lady holding her dog at a food buffet

My lab pretty much rides everywhere I go on the weekends, but she stays in the truck with the AC on when I go inside. Occasionally, I will let her come into the tractor supply with me, but that's about it. A lot of businesses are afraid to confront these people due to confusion around service animals. And no, an emotional support animal is not the same as a service dog with a job.

not at all. Won't be the first job he loses against his will for his behavior.

I have a friend who does woodworking, cabinet, handyman type stuff for a living. He does a bus route as well to be able to carry health insurance. works well for him. He gets off the bus in the morning and gets to work in his shop. Takes a break in the afternoon to rerun his route then is back at it in the evenings. He likes it.
