I wouldn’t stand in line 10 minutes. 99 percent of y’all couldn’t tell the difference of I just bought some random shite at the liquor store and slapped a fancy label on it

Just got Blanton s nd Buffalo Trace. So much fun. Met so many cool people. I would recommend doing this if you love Bourbon.

How many people had neck beards?

I've been able to buy Blanton's off the shelf a few times this year, I figured that rush had died down some
Nope!! You Sir, got lucky if you found them on the shelves.
If Blantons was in a square bottle with a regular cork top, half of the demand would go away.

Damn Baw that was quick. Glad you scored the juice you wanted.
Now you just need 7 more bottles to complete the series. So get back in line!

I have a few bottles; anything to trade?

I have Taylor, Eagle Rare, Weller…missing Blantons
Are you actually going to drink them?
Because bourbon just sitting in bottles is a terrible waste of money.

Does the line calm down as the day goes on? Like do they sell out for the day? My husband drank eagle rare, buffalo trace, and blantons before it was cool. He just wants to see the Distillery and is not standing in line for that.

I went to Willett, Bardstown, and Heaven Hill last week. Willett and Bardstown were fantastic, Heaven Hill was kind of lame.
Glad I texted a buddy when I was at Willett. He said "grab every purple top you can." At the end of my tour, I saw a handful of guys buzzing in the corner of the gift shop. Sure enough, they were grabbing purple tops. I got one for about $230.
My friends said that of the tours in downtown Louisville, Old Forester and Angel's Envy were fun.

Blantons is good but that shits crazy. I’ve grown to discover I can enjoy a $30 bottle of Elijah Craig just as much as highly sought after and over priced bourbon
I'll take Evan Williams Single Barrell any day over Blantons.

If you make friends with your local liquor store they get allocated liquors on a certain day each month. Once I knew that info I have been able to get several bottles per month both at my friends store and another near my house.
Just gave a family member 6 bottles of Blantons he could use for to gift clients for Christmas. He reimbursed me what I paid for them but saved him a bunch of hassle and he’s done a bunch of favors for me.
I don’t even drink liquor, just keep a nicely stocked bar for guests and give nice bottles as gifts.
For instance GM at ford dealer agreed last yr to let me use x-plan (save about 4k) on a Super Duty order and put my order at high priority number, gave him 2 bottles of Blantons, one when I ordered and another when I picked up. Then….
In Oct. I placed 2023 truck order dealer had over 100 orders to put in first day, my truck already got built last week less than a month into production. Internet is full of people complaining about waiting for their truck, dealer only has so many allocations, only cost me $200 to be the top of my dealers list when it comes time to order.
I’ve never tasted blantons but I like it, hope it stays hard to get.

Good luck unless you live in Kentucky.

You do not have to wait in line for a tour. BUT to take an actual tour with a guide, you have to get on their website and sign up in advance. Most of them sell out quick like the Hard Hat tour where they take you back and show you trucks offloading grains and other stuff within the whiskey making process. The other regular tour walks you through some of the different warehouses on site along with the kooperage and other buildings. Both are very interesting and worth the time. If everything is sold out you’re wise, you can still walk around the grounds unsupervised and see most of the distillery.

i just scored a gift basket of weller special reserve with 2 bottles of wine at rouses for 79 bucks. not sure how often they get that.

Of all the bourbon idiocy out there, the worst is all around shelf grade BT products. Buffalo trace, blantons, weller..... all pretty solid bourbons....good. just good. And people are camping out and paying triple retail for it.
Those crotch shots look great tho guys!!
